Veda Arnold
Veda Arnold, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 12, 1916, in Turkey Creek, Okla. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by one son, William Arnold Jr.
She is survived by three daughters, Aleta Gamell, Lynda Wilson and Carla Moon; one son, Daryl Arnold; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Mildred Hunt Ashworth
Mildred Hunt Ashworth, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A resident for 63 years, she was born Sept. 5, 1913, in Gunlock, Utah.
She is survived by three sons, Robert T. Ashworth, Dean E. Ashworth and Don W. Ashworth; one daughter, Mary Lynn Ashworth; 18 grandchildren; and 57 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., and one hour prior to 1:30 p.m. services Thursday in the LDS Seventh Ward chapel, 3400 W. Charleston Blvd.
The family suggests donations to Boulder Dam Area Council Boy Scouts of America, 7220 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV. 89119, or general fund for UNLV, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, NV 89154.
Melvyn D. Carnahan
Melvyn D. Carnahan, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born Nov. 4, 1931, in Pennsylvania. A resident for nine years, he was a retired iron worker and a Korean War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Gerda; two sons, Melvin David Carnahan Jr. of Bethel, Pa., and Vaughn Stites of Alexandria, N.H.; and one daughter, Maureen Idell of Bristol, Pa.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling private arrangements.
Bahyeh Delnavazi
Bahyeh Delnavazi, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 19, 1923, in Russia. A resident for 22 years, she was a retired physical therapist and a member of the Baha'i Assembly.
She is survived by two sisters, Nasrieh Bayat of Los Angeles and Hovich Garakani of Las Vegas; and one brother, Jalal Delnavazi of Bellingham, Wash.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial to follow in Palm Valley View Cemetery.
Sergio A. Diaz
Sergio A. Diaz, 47, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born May 4, 1957, in Cuba. A resident for 37 years, he was a member of Las Vegas Cruising Association, F-100 and Friends and Desert Cruisers.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ivan.
He is survived by his wife, Debra; five daughters, Leah Diaz of Dallas, Ga., Julie Leftwich of Las Vegas, Mandi Fulton of Wichita, Kan., Tava Cotter and Autumn Ohlsen, both of Cape Cod, Mass.; one son, A.J. Ohlsen of Japan; his mother, Maria Diaz of Las Vegas; one brother, Nestor Diaz of Miami; one sister, Anna Diaz of Mexico; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Graveside services will follow in Bunker Eden Vale Cemetery, 1216 Las Vegas Blvd. North, Las Vegas, NV. 89101.
Amy B. Dunn
Amy B. Dunn, 68, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 1, 1936, in Yonkers, N.Y. A resident for eight years, she was a retired computer company manager.
She is survived by one sister, Nancy Radef of Las Vegas.

Ferne M. Espinoza
Ferne M. Espinoza, 76, of Las Vegas died Dec. 22 in a local hospital. She was born May 28, 1928, in Duluth, Minn. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, James L. Hayes of Los Angeles and Peter A. Hayes of San Diego; one daughter, Adrienne L. Karwoski of Stevenson Ranch, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Thursday in Glendale, Calif. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Shapoor Ghane
Shapoor Ghane, 87, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 2, 1917, in Iran. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired university administrator.
He is survived by his wife, Narjess; one son, Shapoor Alexander Ghane Jr. of Las Vegas; two daughters, Tala Ghane of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Marina Holland of Studio City, Calif.; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Thursday at 3100 Harborside Drive, Las Vegas, NV. 89117. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Virginia Llewellyn Hunt
Virginia Llewellyn Hunt, 82, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 1, 1922, in Rupert, Idaho. She was retired human resources employee at a telephone company.
She is survived by one son, Don G. Lynwalter III of Las Vegas.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., and one prior to a 2 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Cemetery.
Mary Etta King
Mary Etta King, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 31, 1923, in Hartford, Conn. A resident for 45 years, she was in real estate.
She is survived by one son, Richard King; and one daughter, Cherie Le Compte.
Graveside services will be 12:40 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive., is handling arrangements.
Dome Miller
Dome Miller, 31, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 6, 1973, in West Hollywood, Calif. A resident for 24 years, he was a dealer.
He is survived by his mother, Kathy Miller of Las Vegas; and three brothers, Atom Miller of Henderson and Eden Miller and Rock Miller, both of Las Vegas.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until a 3 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Elizabeth Papan
Elizabeth Papan, 73, of Las Vegas died Dec. 22 in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 16, 1931, in Sweden. A resident for 28 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Vasa Order and Swedish Women Educational Association.
She is survived by her husband, Alex T. Papan; one daughter, Monica Wagner; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 3:45-4:45 p.m. Jan. 8 in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Flora May Selmon
Flora May Selmon, 81, of Las Vegas died Dec. 21 in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 14, 1923, in Church Hill, Miss. A resident for 52 years, she was a housekeeper.
She is survived by one son, Frank Donaldson of Las Vegas; one brother, Corneilous Selmon of Natchez, Miss.; two sisters, Albertha Jackson of New Orleans and Mother Alma S. White of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Carver Missionary Baptist Church, 1221 N. J St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mary Elizabeth Shydler
Mary Elizabeth Shydler, 88, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born March 24, 1916, in New Madrid, Mo. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Harold; three daughters, Sandra Bacon of San Francisco, Karyn Tercy of Honolulu and Mary Sue Shydler of Las Vegas; four sons, D. Richard Bacon and Thomas Shydler, both of Las Vegas, Michael Shydler of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Daniel Shydler of Fresno, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled 10 a.m. today in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Burial will be 8 a.m. Jan. 5 in Palm Valley View Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

George W. Terlizzese
George W. Terlizzese, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 22, 1931, in New York. A resident for 15 years, he was a construction laborer and an Army veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Lawrence J. Terlizzese and Vincent Terlizzese; and one daughter, Maria Balzarano.
Memorial services are pending. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North is handling arrangements.
T.C. Warfield
T.C. Warfield, 69, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 9, 1935, in Utica, Miss. A resident for 24 years, he was an environmental service worker and a trainer at the Golden Gloves Club.
He is survived by four sons, John Warfield of Murrieta, Calif., Tony A. Warfield of North Las Vegas, and Michael C. Warfield and Daniel J. Warfield, both of Las Vegas; numerous brothers; numerous sister, all of Mississippi; and 16 grandchildren.
Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.
Robert E. Wood
Robert E. Wood, 71, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 9, 1933, in Jasper, Mo. A resident for 31 years, he was a Korean War and Vietnam War Navy veteran and a member of the Fleet Reserve Association and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Beverly; one brother, Ralph Wood of Avondale, Ariz.; and one sister, Ernestine Clough of Temple City, Calif.
Graveside services will be 8 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North is handling arrangements.
