CAT to adjust to closure of Strip

Many Citizens Area Transit bus routes will be detoured New Year's Eve day because of anticipated street closures. For customer convenience, all existing bus stops will be used on all CAT bus routes throughout the Las Vegas Valley for as long as they are accessible.
Temporary bus stops are marked with neon orange signs and will be placed as needed on poles, parking signs or other permanent fixtures.
These routes will have either scheduling or routing changes for New Year's Eve service:
Route 101: Rainbow Boulevard service will be extended until 2 a.m.
105: Martin L. King/Koval Detour will use Desert Inn to cross the Las Vegas Strip. Service extended until 3 a.m. Two additional trips added.
108: Paradise/Swenson possible detour via Charleston Boulevard.
110: Eastern Avenue. 24-hour service will be provided
Route 112: Desert Inn/Lamb possible detour off Convention Center Drive. Service will be extended to 2 a.m.
201: Tropicana route will split once Las Vegas Boulevard closure commences. Service will be extended until 2 a.m.
202: Flamingo route will split once Las Vegas Boulevard closure commences. Route extended to Koval Lane.
203: Spring Mountain Route will detour using Desert Inn Super Arterial when Las Vegas Boulevard closure commences. Service will be extended until 2 a.m.
204: Sahara route may be split due to Las Vegas Boulevard closure. Service provided one hour past regular schedule.
210: Lake Mead 24-hour service will be provided.
213: Harmon/The Lakes route will use Desert Inn to cross Las Vegas Strip.
301: Parallel Strip service planned on Industrial Road.
302: Parallel Strip service provided on Paradise Road. Express service eliminated. Possible detour at Karen if Las Vegas Boulevard is closed to Fourth Street. Service will be extended until 2 a.m.
XXX: East/West Connector specially designed route to connect routes split by Las Vegas Boulevard closure. Will use the Desert Inn Super Arterial, Swenson and Valley View. Route provides connection to Routes 105, 108, 201, 202, 203, 213, 301, and 302.
The RTC will offer complimentary bus rides 6 p.m. Friday through 6 p.m. Jan. 1.
