The state Commission on Judicial Selection Tuesday picked three Reno lawyers as finalists to succeed District Judge James Hardesty.
Hardesty won election to the Nevada Supreme Court in November.
The commission chose Robert H. Perry, 61, Julien Sourwine, 65, and John Springgate, 45. Their names were forwarded to Gov. Kenny Guinn, who will make the final appointment.
Seventeen people applied for the job.
