Robbery attempt foiled at casino
Tue, Dec 21, 2004 (9:03 a.m.)
Metro Police are investigating an attempted robbery this morning at the Gold Coast.
About 2 a.m. two men and a woman tried to steal money from a casino employee pushing a change cart but were unsuccessful. They ran out a side door, police said and were seen driving away in a small silver car.
Two casinos were robbed last week. A man with dreadlocks, armed with a small handgun, robbed a casino cage employee at the Orleans and another held up a cashier at Terrible's.
No arrests had been reported in connection with any of the robberies as of this morning.
