Opal Elizabeth Allred

Opal Elizabeth Allred, 92, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born Aug. 7, 1912, in Chillicothe, Texas. A resident for 49 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, William Raymond Allred of Ridgeway, Colo., and D. Wade Allred of Gig Harbor, Wash.; one daughter, Jennean Coop of Temecula, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Robert E. Barlow

Robert E. Barlow, 82, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 28, 1922, in San Diego. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired electrician, a World War II Navy veteran and a retired member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He is survived by one daughter, Lauren Laster of North Las Vegas; and two sons, Norman Barlow of Tuolumne, Calif., and Bryce N. Barlow of El Cajon, Calif.

Lucy Rose Boudreau

Lucy Rose Boudreau, 93, of Lawrenceburg, Ind., died Saturday in Lawrenceburg. A former Las Vegas resident, she was born Nov. 16, 1911, in North Tarrytown, N.Y.

She is survived by one son, Richard Allen Boudreau of Keizer, Ore.; one daughter, Mary Lou Boudreau Brown of Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-6 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Eddie L. Branch

Eddie L. Branch, 62, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in North Las Vegas. A hotel keno writer, he was born Sept. 7, 1942, in Tallulah, La.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy M.; one daughter, Edtrinette Branch of North Las Vegas; one son, Gary Hill, four brothers, Floyd Tolliver, Kenny Tolliver, Emanuel "De" Tolliver and Freddie Tolliver, and three sisters, Velma Gray, Doris Tolliver and Polly Ann Tolliver, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 7 p.m. wake Wednesday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in True Love Missionary Baptist church, 1941 H. St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Billy M. Breshears

Billy M. Breshears, 61, of Boulder City died Friday in a local hospital. He was born March 23, 1943, in Alhambra, Calif. A resident for 10 years, he was an expediter for a manufacturing firm and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his parents, Malcolm and Marjorie Breshears of Boulder City.

Elizabeth L. Bandini De Nicholas

Elizabeth L. Bandini De Nicholas, 87, of Scottsdale, Ariz., died Saturday in a Phoenix hospital. She was born Sept. 5, 1917, in Pennsylvania. A former Las Vegas resident for 18 years, she was a seamstress, volunteer and homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Rita Elef of Scottsdale; and one step-granddaughter.

No local services are scheduled. National Cremation Society, Phoenix, handled private arrangements.

Sandra Belman Gottfried

Sandra Belman Gottfried, 68, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 13, 1935, in Chicago. A resident for four years, she was an art sculptress at Desert Sculpture Guild.

She is survived by her husband, Edward; two daughters, Jill Herschler of Orange County, Calif., and Julie Gottfried of Houston; one sister, Ruth Kopald of Chicago; and two grandchildren.

Dorothy Hart

Dorothy Hart, 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 5, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 50 years, she was a retired librarian.

She is survived by one son, Larry Hart of Las Vegas; one daughter, Debra Walker, and one sister, Emily Guenther, both of Henderson; and three grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled noon until a 2 p.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Mary Lou Hill

Mary Lou Hill, 62, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 5, 1942, in Chelsea, Mass. A resident for 10 years, she was a customer service representative in the retail industry.

She is survived by her husband, Billie; two daughters, Donna Kaman of Kent, Wash., and Cheryl Maves Kelly of Sumner, Wash.; one sister, Elaine Herman of Raytown, Mo.; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park.

Connie LaRubio

Connie LaRubio, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born July 11, 1930, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 24 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel P. LaRubio Jr. of Las Vegas and Louis LaRubio of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Ann Escobedo of Las Vegas; one sister, Rosemarie Riccio of Staten Island, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. today and Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Richard Lautenschlager

Richard Lautenschlager, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born April 22, 1940, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired architect with the federal government and a Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Andrea Broady Lautenschlager; one daughter, Carrie Pliska of Albuquerque; and one grandchild.

Andrew C. Lepore

Andrew C. Lepore, 55, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 4, 1949, in Hoboken, N.J. A resident for 12 years, he worked in central supply at University Medical Center, was a Vietnam War Army veteran, a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by one sister, Irene Rogers of Jersey City, N.J.; two brothers, Richard Lepore of Brick, N.J., and Thomas Lepore of Carteret, N.J.; and his companion, Judy Eisenbacher of Las Vegas.

Barbara S. Lyn

Barbara S. Lyn, 57, of Las Vegas died Dec. 6 in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 21, 1947, in Burma. A resident for 21 years, she was a disabled house maid.

She is survived by one brother, Terence S. Lyn, and one sister, Thida Lyn Maclaughlin, both of Las Vegas.

Luther N. Lynch Sr.

Luther N. Lynch Sr., 63, of Las Vegas died Dec. 1. A retired hotel porter, he was born Dec. 26, 1940, in Rush Springs, Okla.

He is survived by one son, Luther N. Nelson Jr. of Tennessee; and one daughter, Connie Carson of Gallatin, Tenn.

Sandra Isaacs Mangione

Sandra Isaacs Mangione, 60, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 15, 1944, in San Antonio. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Tammy Tessier of Henderson; two sons, Scott Mangione of Las Vegas and Michael Mangione of San Antonio; her mother, Dorothy Isaacs of San Antonio; and six grandchildren.

Dawn Laura Mardock

Dawn Laura Mardock, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born July 9, 1932, in Maine. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired floor supervisor in the glassmaking business.

She is survived by two daughters, Colleen Jackson and Janice Sims; one son, Keith Varney; two brothers, Phillip Smith and Kilburn Smith; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 12:30 p.m. today in Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St.

Sumner 'Red' Sperberg

Sumner "Red" Sperberg, 75, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 22, 1929, in Massachusetts. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired gaming consultant and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Marc Sperberg of Henderson; one sister, Rose Schiff of Florida; his best friend, Bobby Mantashigian of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Clair Martin Staley

Clair Martin Staley, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 14, 1919, in Bloomington, Ill. A resident for 20 years, he was an electrical engineer for Westinghouse and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by three sons, Charles Martin Staley of St. Charles, Mo., and John Melvin Staley and Richard Michael Staley, both of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Ely Stone

Ely Stone, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born April 27, 1920, in New York. A resident for 24 years, he was a souvenir importer and exporter and an Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Marlene Sasso; and two sisters, Eva Fox and Birdie Persilin.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sylvia; one son, Steven Stone of Florida; one stepson, Barry Oshins of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Sheri Oshins of Las Vegas and Deena Oshins of Palm Springs, Calif.; one brother, Murry Stein of Los Angeles; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Christopher Michael Westendorf

Christopher Michael Westendorf, 28, of Las Vegas died Thursday. He was born Nov. 17, 1976, in Cedar Falls, Iowa. A resident for five years, he was a managerial associate at Home Depot.

He is survived by his wife, Daelyn; his father, Michael of Cedar Falls; his mother, Mary Yaw, one sister, Jericho, and two brothers, Brendan and Berkley, all of Alexandria, Minn.; one half-brother, Shawn Westendorf of Waterloo, Iowa; and his grandparents, Forrest and Kathryn Yaw of Hampton, Iowa, Patricia Westendorf of LaPorte City, Iowa, and the Dale Hunt family of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today at the LDS chapel at 7670 S. Bruce St. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Wednesday in the LDS chapel. Burial will be in Bunkerville Cemetery. Heidemann Mortuary, St. George, Utah, is handling arrangements.
