Joseph M.G. Chang

Joseph M.G. Chang, 77, of Las Vegas died Dec. 6 in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 5, 1927, in Honolulu. A resident for seven years, he was a retired dentist, a World War II Army veteran and a member of Central City Optimists, Los Angeles.

He is survived by his wife, Alma K.S.; three sons, Gregory K.S. Chang of Los Angeles, Kelvin K.C. Chang of Glenwood Springs, Colo., and John K.J. Chang of Antelope, Calif.; one daughter, Lorin Y.Y. Lew of Walnut, Calif.; three brothers, Pon Chang, Vernon Chang and Walter Y.M. Chang, M.D., and one sister, Alice Lee, all of Honolulu; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to Optimist Youth and Family Service, N. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90041-1076.

Frank S. Clucas Jr.

Frank S. Clucas Jr., 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 23, 1920, in Cannon City, Colo. A resident for 47 years, he retired as a Nevada Test Site electrician after 33 years, he was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He is survived by one daughter, Mary Ruth-Eggers of Las Vegas; two sons, James Reid of Las Vegas and John Reid of Marysville, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Jesse Cox

Jesse Cox, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 10, 1925, in Colorado. A resident for 55 years, he was a master carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Taylor-Cox; one son, Glen; three daughters, Nola, Linda and Carol; three brothers, Gail, J.D., and Donald; six sisters, Margie, Maxine, Rozella, Dorothy, Wanda and Nellie; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.

Larry J. Garrity

Larry J. Garrity, 91, of Las Vegas died Dec. 6 in a local convalescent hospital. He was born March 20, 1913, in Minneapolis. A resident for 59 years, he was a retired plumber, a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 525.

He is survived by two daughters, Marion Meyers and Barbara Blackwell, both of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Shirley L. Gibson

Shirley L. Gibson, 48, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 7, 1956, in Michigan. A resident for 30 years, she was a restaurant manager.

She is survived by her companion, Bill Hardding; her mother, Juanita Umsted; one brother, Steven Gibson; and six sisters, Brenda, Carol, Sandra, Diane, Debbie and Gayle.

Tu Thi Hansberry

Tu Thi Hansberry, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 20, 1931, in Vietnam. A resident for 30 years, she was a hotel owner.

She is survived by four sons, Ken, Charles, McLynn and James; five daughters, Lorraine Dixon, Trish Holmes, Regina Horton, Dorothy Clowers and Jeri Henry; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until an 11 a.m. service Tuesday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Kathleen Hulette

Kathleen Hulette, 95, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born July 4, 1909, in Scotland. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Colleen Bevilacqua; six grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Mass was scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Guardian Angel Cathedral, 302 E. Desert Inn Road. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Mary Ann Munro

Mary Ann Munro, 77, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 7, 1927, in Hartford, Mich. A resident for 56 years, she was a retired from real estate.

She is survived by her husband, Nathaniel; three sons, Stephen D. Munro of Sacramento, Alick R. Munro of Reno and Bruce C. Munro of Las Vegas; one daughter, Marsha Munro-Hulsey of Reno; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Margaret Jean Ranftl

Margaret Jean Ranftl, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born May 15, 1927, in Chicago. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Joann Serbick of Las Vegas; two sons, Paul Ranftl of Las Vegas and Peter Ranftl of St. George, Utah; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Harley Lawrence Senseney

Harley Lawrence Senseney, 68, of Las Vegas died Dec. 2 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 2, 1936 in Shawnee, Okla. He retired was a retired Marine Corps master sergeant who served 27 years, was a Vietnam War veteran and an Oklahoma state police officer until retiring to Las Vegas five years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Janice; one son, Jack Senseney of Las Vegas; one daughter, Kim Meinecke of Oklahoma City; one sister, Kay Senseney of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Frances Tuininga

Frances Tuininga, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born June 16, 1925, in Orange City, Iowa. A resident for 3 1/2 years, she was a retired housekeeper in a nursing home.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence; three daughters, Rose Hettinga of Las Vegas, Prudence J. Hagan of Alpine, Calif., and Constance Widboom of Minneapolis; one son, C. Heath Tuininga of Lakewood, Colo.; two brothers, Don Reinders of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Jay Reinders of Winnebago, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled one hour prior to a 3 p.m. service today in Community Church of Henderson, 360 E. Horizon Drive, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Carter Kraig Wolsey

Carter Kraig Wolsey died Saturday, his date of birth, in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 11, 2004.

He is survived by his parents, Valentine and Jason Wolsey of North Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Joanne and Scott Humes, Valentin and Micheala Lauterborn and Craig and Kathryn Wolsey.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Bunker's Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
