Musical society plans concert
The Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society, now celebrating it 42nd season, will present "Christmas with the Musical Society" 3 p.m. Sunday at the Horn Theatre at Community College of Southern Nevada, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave.
The event will feature the Musical Chorus in a performance of Anders Ohrwall's "The Three Kings" with narrator and instrumental accompaniment. The work, sung in English, takes its text from 1635 by Bishop Olofsson of Linkoping, Sweden.

Salvation Army to give out toys
The Salvation Army will distribute toys to needy children in Las Vegas Thursday and Friday at Cashman Field. Volunteers to distribute toys are needed as well as Spanish speaking volunteers.
The Salvation Army asks local residents to be supportive of the Christmas Angel program. Call Charles Desiderio at 870-4430, ext. 23 for more information.
The Gastons, the Victory Missionary Baptist Church Choir
and the Praise Dancers will perform in a gospel concert 2 p.m. Saturday at Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive.Call 455-7340.
