Mike C. Apodaca

Mike C. Apodaca, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 8, 1924, in Albuquerque. A resident for 62 years, he was a retired landscape contractor and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Apodaca Jr. of Albuquerque and Steve E. Apodaca of Las Vegas; one daughter, Elizabeth J. Miner of Paragonah, Utah; four brothers; four sisters; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled from 1 p.m. until a 6 p.m. vigil today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite Vietnam veterans charity.

Lewis Freeman Crumb

Lewis Freeman Crumb, 70, of Las Vegas and Fort Mohave, Ariz., died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 17, 1934, in Berkeley, Calif. A Las Vegas resident for six weeks, he was a retired finance officer, accountant and Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Merlyn of Las Vegas and Fort Mohave; two daughters, Desiree Carroll of Seattle and Katarina Rutkowski of Pomfret Center, Conn.; one sister, Patricia Kania of Vancouver, British Columbia; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.

Mike 'Doc' Draper

Mike "Doc" Draper, 52, died Monday. He was born Dec. 17, 1951, in Fort Wayne, Ind. A former Las Vegas resident, he drove a tractor-trailer for Las Vegas Paving, was a member of Teamsters Local 631 and was an Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Joshua Draper, and one daughter, Mandy A. Draper, both of Arizona; his father and stepmother, Raymond and Lila Draper; and four sisters, Bonnie Grimme and Imogene Schoof, both of Indiana, and Nancy Gaier and Vivian Landis, both of Nevada; and one stepbrother, Victor, who is in the Navy stationed in Washington.

A memorial service will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday in Mountain View Community Center, 148 Day St., Henderson. Sunrise Cremation & Burial Society, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 5, Henderson, handled arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the American Liver Foundation, 75 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038.

Larry J. Garrity

Larry J. Garrity, 91, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local convalescent hospital. He was born March 20, 1913, in Minneapolis. A resident for 59 years, he was a retired plumber and a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 525.

He is survived by two daughters, Marion Meyers and Barbara Blackwell, both of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

The family suggests donations to St. Jude's Ranch for Children Inc., P.O. Box 60100, Boulder City, NV 89006.

Lucendia Johnson

Lucendia Johnson, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Nov. 11, 1920, in St. Joseph, La. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Willie Thornes of Los Angeles and Wilbert Watson of Long Beach, Calif.; four daughters, Vera Shorts of Las Vegas, Naomi Needham of Laguna Niguel, Calif., Ruby Jones of Kennewick, Wash., and Lottie Mae Wilson of Greenville, Miss.; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in New Light Baptist Church, 1165 Lawry Ave. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park.

Stanley E. Kaminski

Stanley E. Kaminski, 74, of Las Vegas died Nov. 23 in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1930, in Chicago. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired transit authority dispatcher and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Lori Mertes of Las Vegas and Cynthia Tom of Pearl City, Hawaii; one son, Brian Kaminski of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Donal 'Reid' Roundy

Donal "Reid" Roundy, 55, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 20, 1949, in Utah. A resident for 34 years, he was an auto technician.

He is survived by his mother, Ursel Brough Roundy; two sisters, Diane R. Phillips and Debra R. Jensen.

Services will be in Utah. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Russell Merle Tracy

Russell Merle Tracy, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 13, 1920, in Oklahoma. A resident for 14 years, he was a mill foreman for a lumber company.

He is survived by two daughters, Sherri Devlin of Las Vegas and Sandra Fanning of Oregon; one brother, Fred Tracy of Arizona; two sisters, Delores Hancock and Pat Fitzgerald, both of Oregon; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in the Jones and Cartier LDS chapel. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Claude 'Mike' Wilson

Claude "Mike" Wilson, 58, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 19, 1946, in Westwood, Calif. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired security officer and a retired Navy BM1 and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Matthew and Blake; one daughter, Laine-Marie; his mother, Violette Meier of San Diego; and one sister, Patricia Spence.

Visitation is scheduled 6 p.m.-8 p.m. today in St. James Catholic Church, 1920 N. Martin Luther King Blvd. Mass will be celebrated noon Friday in St. James Catholic Church. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
