Two men convicted of committing two separate armed home invasions in Las Vegas will be sentenced before District Judge Lee Gates on Jan. 19.
A Clark County jury convicted Dewan Blackburn, 24, and Bruce Bolden, 23, of assorted counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and home invasion in connection with the Jan. 17 and Jan. 27 incidents at the beginning of this year.
In both invasions prosecutors said Blackburn and Bolden with the help of a third accomplice, who would later be gunned down by police, entered the homes with guns, forced the occupants to floor, tied them up and proceeded to rob the home.
Specifically the jury convicted Blackburn of five counts of first-degree kidnapping with a deadly weapon, five counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of burglary while in possession of a firearm, and three counts of possession of stolen property.
Bolden was convicted of three counts of first-degree kidnapping with a deadly weapon, three counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, one count of burglary while in possession of a firearm, three counts of possession of stolen property, and one count of failure to stop on the signal of a police officer.
