Metro Police this morning were still looking for the burglars who broke into the Summerlin home of former Las Vegas Mayor Jan Jones on Sunday.
The burglary was reported at the $2 million home on Moon Valley Place in a gated community near Anasazi Drive and West Lake Mead Boulevard early Sunday evening, Capt. Rick Bilyeu of Metro's property crimes bureau said.
Bilyeu would not elaborate on the value of the items taken or what those items were.
A neighbor Tuesday morning spotted a man police said might have been involved in the burglary, Bilyeu said. He was not arrested.
Jones, who police said was not home at the time of the burglary, was unavailable for comment this morning. Speaking through Harrah's spokesman David Strow, she said she is offering a $50,000 reward for any information leading to the safe retrieval of the stolen items.
Strow said he did not know what was stolen or how much it was worth.
Jones served two terms as mayor from 1991 to 1999 and is now a Harrah's corporate vice president.
