Rhode Island-based lottery operator Gtech Holdings Corp. announced Monday it was buying a 50-percent controlling interest in Atronic Gaming, a slot maker owned by Gauselmann Group, a European gaming-device manufacturer. The estimated price of $100 million to $150 million will be based on Atronic's 2006 cash flow. Gtech employs more than 5,400 people and generates more than $1 billion in annual revenue. Atronic is licensed to sell gaming devices in 20 states and to 138 Indian tribes.
