Control Board member won’t seek second term
Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004 | 10:56 a.m.
Gaming Control Board member Scott Scherer confirmed today that he would not seek a second term on the board.
Scherer has been mentioned as one of the possible replacements for Attorney General Brian Sandoval, who is resigning to take a federal judicial appointment.
Scherer said he hasn't been offered an appointment to the attorney general's post and said that he hasn't decided whether he would accept such an appointment.
Scherer's term is set to expire at the end of the month. He said he would continue to serve on the three-member board until a replacement is found.
