Meet and greet
Art de Vignettes Fine Art Gallery at the Fashion Show mall will host a public meet-and-greet and preview of the original paintings of mixed-media artist Vital from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday. The works will be on display until Jan. 3. 221-8350.
'Pixelgraphic'
The exhibit "Pixelgraphic," by New York painter Orit Ben-Shitrit, opens with a meet-the-artist reception from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the Reed Whipple Cultural Center, 821 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Admission is free. The exhibit continues until Feb. 6. 229-4674.
Rauschenberg
"Robert Rauschenberg: Art and Life," goes on display from today until the end of January at the Godt-Cleary Gallery, 1217 S. Main St. "Double Exposure," a collection of avant-garde European artists, will be on view at the Godt-Cleary Gallery at Mandalay Place, 3930 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Admission is free. 632-9378.
'Quilts'
"Quilts of the Soul," a sampling of fabric quilts, pieced blocks and wall hangings created by Girtia Lukes, will be displayed from today until Jan. 28 at the Las Vegas office of the Nevada Arts Council, 821 S. 7th St. A artists' reception will be held today. Admission is free. 486-3700.
'Day Without Art'
The Contemporary Arts Collective has partnered with AFAN and "Project Up Front" to exhibit art created by local artists living with HIV as part of the "Day Without Art," a global event in which art organizations pay respect to artists who have succumbed to the fatal disease. The exhibit will go on display from Monday to Dec. 23 at the CAC, 101 E. Charleston Blvd., Suite 101. Admission is free. 382-3886.
'The Enemy Show'

'Go Figure!'

'Masterpiece'

Art auction
The Contemporary Arts Collective and the Las Vegas Jazz Society will join together for this year's art auction and exhibit. The auction exhibit, which showcases the work to be auctioned off on Saturday, will run until the end of today at the CAC, 101 E. Charleston Blvd., Suite 104. Admission is free. 382-3886.
Bernard exhibit
"Cindy Bernard: Recent Work," featuring photographs from an ongoing series on public bandshells, will be exhibited until Dec. 15 at UNLV's Donna Beam Fine Art Gallery. Admission is free. 895-3893.
'Triptych'

Bat exhibit

'Legacy of Giving'
The Liberace "Legacy of Giving" exhibit will continue indefinitely at the Liberace Museum, 1775 E. Tropicana Ave. Admission is $12 general, $8 seniors and students, free for children 5 and under. 798-5595.
'Celebrating Life!'
The winning artwork from the 2004 "Celebrating Life!" fine arts competition for senior artists, age 50 and up, is on display at the Bridge Gallery at City Hall, at the corner of 4th Street and Stewart Avenue, until Jan. 21. Admission is free. 229-4674.
Traveling exhibit
"Pattern Wizardry: Making the Power of Patterns," the newest exhibit at the Lied Discovery Children's Museum, runs until Jan. 2 at 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Admission is $7 adults, $6 children 1-17, seniors and military families, free for children under 1. 382-3445.
'9/11'
Clayton Campbell's photo exhibit, "Words My Son Has Learned Since 9/11," will be on display until Jan. 6 in the lobby of Artemus Ham Concert Hall on the UNLV campus. Admission is free. 895-1902.
'Pursuit of Pleasure'
The Guggenheim Hermitage Museum at The Venetian is hosting an exhibit, "The Pursuit of Pleasure," which includes such artists as Picasso, Rodin, Rubens, Beckmann and Velazquez. 'Neon Unplugged'

Monet exhibit
The Bellagio is exhibiting 16 works of Claude Monet in "Claude Monet: Masterworks from the Museum of Fine Arts," until Jan. 9 at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art. Admission is $15 general, $12 residents, seniors and students. 693-7871.
