Dallas revs up passing game

Bill Parcells was more interested in the Dallas Cowboys' passing game with his old Jets players than giving Eddie George much of a chance against his old team.
While George ran for just 3 yards on four carries against his former teammates, Vinny Testaverde threw for 240 yards -- with eight completions to Keyshawn Johnson for 81 yards -- in Dallas' 20-17 exhibition victory Monday against Tennessee at Irving, Texas.
"It was a little bit of emotion to see some of my teammates, coaches and trainers I was friends with," said George, the Titans' franchise rushing leader with 10,009 yards the past eight seasons. "I think our passing attack carried us pretty well."
George was stuffed for 1-yard losses on his first and last carries, all coming in the first quarter.
"It was kind of weird," Titans defensive lineman Kevin Carter said. "Eddie happens to be in a different uniform. When you get past it, it's the same game."
It was the best game so far for Testaverde and Johnson, who reunited with Parcells during the offseason. They were all in New York in 1998 when the Jets went to the AFC title game.
Parcells told Testaverde just before the game he was planning to be more aggressive.
Testaverde, 40, who became the starter when Quincy Carter was cut the first week of camp, completed 17 of 24 passes and threw his first touchdown pass of the preseason. Johnson had four catches for 32 yards before George's last carry.
Around the camps
Woodson was a no-show Monday for the 33rd day -- since the Raiders reported to training camp July 29 -- even though he said last Wednesday he planned to end his holdout and start practicing this week.
Sanders, Indianapolis' second-round draft choice, was the last NFL draft pick to sign this year, and his arrival at practice marked the end of the team's longest holdout since linebacker Cornelius Bennett in 1987. Bennett never signed and was traded in a deal that brought running back Eric Dickerson to Indianapolis.
