ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. -- United Airlines plans to recall another 375 flight attendants on voluntary furlough this fall because of fuller planes and an increase in international flights, a United spokeswoman said.
Spokeswoman Jean Medina said United plans to recall 175 flight attendants Oct. 18 and the remaining 200 on Nov. 22.
United already planned to recall about 400 flight attendants Oct. 31. At the start of the year, the airline had 5,100 attendants on voluntary furlough and about 15,300 active flight attendants, Medina said.
