The Clark County School Board will hold a series of community forums, beginning Tuesday, to hear the public's opinion on a variety of education-related topics.
The meetings are part of an ongoing outreach effort, said School Board President Susan Brager-Wellman.
"It's important that we hear from as wide an audience as possible," Brager-Wellman said. "Taking the meetings to different schools will help us do that."
Topics planned for discussion, dates, times and locations are:
Class size: Tuesday, 7 to 9 p.m. Basic High School 400 N. Palo Verde, Henderson.
Education funding: Sept. 8, 10 a.m. to noon Keller Middle School 301 Fogg St., Las Vegas.
Extracurricular activities: Sept. 13, 6 to 8 p.m. Lawrence Middle School, 4410 S. Juliano St., Las Vegas.
Parental involvement: Sept. 14, 7 to 9 p.m. Hollingsworth Elementary School, 1776 E. Ogden Ave., Las Vegas.
Teacher quality: Sept. 16, 6 to 8 p.m. Simmons Elementary School, 2328 Silver Clouds Drive, North Las Vegas.
School curriculum: Sept. 21, 6 to 8 p.m. Givens Elementary School, 655 Park Vista Drive, Las Vegas.
School safety: Sept. 28, 6 to 8 p.m. Hoggard Elementary School, 950 N. Tonopah Drive, Las Vegas.
