Herbert M. Dieffenbacher Sr.

Herbert M. Dieffenbacher Sr., 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born June 30, 1923, in Long Beach, Calif. A resident for five years, he was a retired carpenter and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ana; three sons, Herbert Dieffenbacher Jr. of Los Angeles, Paul Dieffenbacher of Chino, Calif., and Richard Dieffenbacher of Fontana, Calif.; one daughter, Linda Hendrickson of Puyallup, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Kuniko Emery

Kuniko Emery, 77, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born July 7, 1927, in Japan. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Roderick; one son; two daughters; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Barbara Jean Harden

Barbara Jean Harden, 63, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 20, 1940, in Ohio. A resident for 42 years, she was a retired registered nurse and a member of PAWS.

She is survived by one son, Dennis R. Compton; one sister, Terri Evans; and two grandchildren.

Kenny Kaplan

Kenny Kaplan, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born July 24, 1927, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 48 years, he was a retired stagehand, a hairdresser, had a movie catering company, was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Stagehands Local 720.

He is survived by one daughter, Danielle Kaplan of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Clarence Kostich

Clarence Kostich, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 4, 1926, in Michigan. A resident for 16 years, he was an electronics technician and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Sharyn; three sons, Marc Valli, Lance Kostich and Darrian Kostich; one daughter, Cathy Valle; and five grandchildren.

Michael J. Leitera

Michael J. Leitera, 59, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 10, 1944, in New Castle, Pa. A resident for seven years, he was a retired dealer.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Leitera, one brother, Albert Leitera, and one sister, Frances Wilhite, all of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Patricia Leitera's home. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Martin 'Cookie' Lopez

Martin "Cookie" Lopez, 51, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 31, 1953, in Azusa, Calif. A resident for eight years, he was a cement mason and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; three sons, Steve Baez, Joe Baez and James Romero, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Tito Lopez, and one sister, Susan Reed, both of Yuma, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.

Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.

Anne Lucero

Anne Lucero, 66, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 27, 1938, in Providence, R.I. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired receptionist for a nonprofit agency.

She is survived by her husband, Rudy; one daughter, Theresa Lucero of Henderson; one son, Michael Carter of Las Vegas; two sisters, Jean Palomino of Frisco, Texas, and Joan Torrissi of Cypress, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Velma Mason

Velma Mason, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 22, 1927, in Liberty Hill, Texas. A resident for 46 years, she was a homemaker and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by three daughters, Donna Carlson and Carol Brooks, both of Las Vegas, and Mary Sue Mason of Austin, Texas; three sons, Steven Booher of Minneapolis, John Booher of Austin and James Mason of Las Vegas; one sister, Sybil Harvey of Tyler, Texas; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled private arrangements.

R.H. McKinnon

R.H. McKinnon, 86, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 3, 1917, in Henryetta, Okla. A resident for 41 years, he was a Frontier hotel executive, worked for Summa Corp. for 25 years, was an Army veteran and a member of Masonic Daylite Lodge 44.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores F.; one son, Matthew McKinnon of Las Vegas; two sisters, Wanda Markley of Los Angeles and Rosemary Haynes of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 6 p.m. Thursday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.

Pal Son Kim Moore

Pal Son Kim Moore, 67, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 2, 1936, in Korea. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Motel A Club of Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; one daughter, Daphne Schell; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10-11 a.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow at noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Ann Rhoades

Ann Rhoades, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 13, 1924, in Jacksboro, Texas. A resident for 33 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Tin Lizzies, Order of the Eastern Star and Zelzah Shrine Ladies.

She is survived by one son, John E. Wynn of Las Vegas; one stepson, Dusty Rose of Oklahoma; one brother, Jeff Swaim of Texas; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

George Washington Snider

George Washington Snider, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 22, 1938, in Princeton, W.Va. A resident for eight years, he was a retired telephone company installer and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by one brother, Hartley Snider of Las Vegas.

Robert L. Snyder

Robert L. Snyder, 88, of Boulder City died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 9, 1915, in Bristow, Okla. A resident for 61 years, he was a retired finish carpenter and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Reba.

He is survived by one stepdaughter, Joan L. Swift of Henderson; and two grandsons, Robert A. Swift of Boulder City and Ronald Swift of Henderson.

Isabelle S. Stoneham

Isabelle S. Stoneham, 73, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in North Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 9, 1930, in Niagara Falls, N.Y. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired executive secretary for a carbon plant.

She is survived by five sons, Mel Snelling of Lebanon, N.H., Doug Snelling, Greg Snelling and Mark Snelling, all of Las Vegas, and Jeff Snelling of Palmyra, N.Y.; one daughter, Diane Little of Las Vegas; two sisters, Nan O'Hara of St. Mary's, Pa., and Elizabeth "Betty" Baker of Bellview, Wash.; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Thomas R. Sullivan Jr.

Thomas R. Sullivan Jr., 27, of Las Vegas died Aug. 13, in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 7, 1976, in Las Vegas. A resident for 24 years, he was a plumber.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Compton of Las Vegas; his father, Thomas R. Sullivan Sr. of Carson City; and grandmothers, Sarah E. Compton of Las Vegas and Patricia Thompson of Beryl, Utah.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Quin'tavion S. Wells

Quin'tavion S. Wells, 1, of North Las Vegas died Friday in North Las Vegas. He was born May 12, 2003, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his father, Horace Houston of Las Vegas; his mother, Candace Wells, and one sister, Shan Kandria Wells, both of North Las Vegas; his grandparents, Shirley Lewis, Herman Walker, April Lewis, Delwin Wells and Barbara Winn, and his great-grandmother, Gladys Reed, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
