Raymond Badillo

Raymond Badillo, 44, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born March 19, 1960, in Chicago. A resident for four years, he was disabled.

He is survived by one son, Raymond Hall of Knoxville, Tenn.; his parents, Ruben and Betty Badillo, and one brother, Roland Badillo, all of Henderson; two sisters, Anna Guzman of Chicago and Linda Llerena of Miami; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Timothy Cummings

Timothy Cummings, 51, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 22, 1953, in Lumberton, N.C. A resident for 19 years, he was an iron worker and a member of Iron Workers Local 416.

He is survived by three daughters, Kristin Cummings, Bobbi Turner and Stacy Ringo, one son, Kevin Owens, and his wife, Deborah Cummings, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern.

The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.

Anthony J. DeMartino

Anthony J. DeMartino, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. He was born Feb. 27, 1923, in Philadelphia. A resident for two years, he was a retired delicatessen owner-operator and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; and one son, Richard DeMartino of Las Vegas.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Valerie Duckworth

Valerie Duckworth, 7 days, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 15, 2004.

She is survived by her parents, Randy and Jocelyn Duckworth, and her grandparents, Eulalia Adalim and Eleanor and Stan Kuras, all of Las Vegas.

Services will be 4 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Wendy Farrow

Wendy Farrow, 73, of North Las Vegas died Saturday. She was born Feb. 11, 1931, in England. A resident for 40 years, she was an accountant, helped her husband with his swimming pool business and served on the international board of directors of Toastmasters International.

She is survived by her husband, Kevan; one son, Graeme; one daughter, Kay Maas; and four grandsons.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Thursday at the home of Doug and Maria Martinez Riach, 3108 Angelica Court. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Raymond Geckle

Raymond Geckle, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A retired steel machinist and a Navy veteran, he was born Nov. 1, 1920, in Los Angeles.

He is survived by two daughters, Diane M. Slayton of Las Vegas and Rita M. Butler of Arizona; one son, Steven R. Geckle of Florida; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Fabian Wilfred Gehl

Fabian Wilfred Gehl, 78, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local health care center. An Air Force veteran, he was born Oct. 11, 1925, in Amamosa, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; three daughters, Marti Huiras of Oakdale, Minn., Fay Berger of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Lisa Wheeler of Omaha, Neb.; and eight grandchildren.

Services and burial will be in St. Paul, Minn. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Ronald H. Johnson Sr.

Ronald H. Johnson Sr., 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born July 11, 1933, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for five years, he was a retired technical writer in the aerospace industry and a Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Janet F. Radke and Ann M. Brown, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Ronald H. Johnson Jr. of Las Vegas and Gregory H. Johnson of Santa Barbara, Calif.; two sisters, Joan Rosado of Auburn, N.Y., and Sandra Smith of Los Angeles; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Richard Dale Kohl Sr.

Richard Dale Kohl Sr., 74, of Las Vegas died Aug. 17 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 25, 1929, in Nebraska. He was a mechanical engineer, a Navy Seebee, a member of Masonic Lodge Daylite 44, Midwest Lodge 317 in Hastings, Neb., Scottish Rite, Zelzah Shrine and Navy Seebees of America (Island X-1).

He is survived by his wife, Lois; one son, Richard Kohl Jr.; two daughters, Nancy Dunlap and Karla Matthews; four brothers, Guy Kohl, Jack Kohl, Raymon Kohl and Neal Kohl; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be Sept. 18 at Masonic Memorial Temple, 2200 W. Mesquite Ave. Neptune Society of Las Vegas is handling arrangements.

Barbara G. Kroeger

Barbara G. Kroeger, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 11, 1930, in Detroit. A resident for three years, she was a retired administrative assistant for a credit union.

She is survived by her husband, Jewel I.; six sons, David Wilson of Australia, Douglas Wilson of San Diego, Dennis Kroeger of Riverside, Calif., David Kroeger of Kentucky and Garry Kroeger of Washington state; one daughter, Marilyn Wilson of Fremont, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Blake W. Livingood

Blake W. Livingood, 26, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 30, 1977, in Prescott, Ariz. A resident for eight years, he was a hotel internal auditor.

He is survived by his parents, Floyd and Sandra Livingood of Globe, Ariz.; two sisters, Betina Livingood of Phoenix and Danine Livingood of Lancaster, Calif.; and his grandmother, Aliene Sosh of Miami, Ariz.

Joyce E. Piccinetti

Joyce E. Piccinetti, 62, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 27, 1941, in Trenton, N.J. A resident for 52 years, she was an administrative assistant in property management.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph D. Piccinetti of Denver and James C. Piccinetti of Las Vegas; one daughter, Toni L. Piccinetti of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

L. Kathleen Reese

L. Kathleen Reese, 84, of Boulder City, died Sunday in Las Vegas. A longtime resident, she was born Nov. 18, 1919, in Arkansas. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Michael Reese of Boulder City; one daughter, Natalie Sebastian of Lancaster, Calif.; one sister, Ruby Ratcliff of Los Angeles; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. to a 1 p.m. service Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary. Burial will be Memory Gardens.

Francesca Ripandelli

Francesca Ripandelli, 89, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born Nov. 29, 1914, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 16 years, she was a retired seamstress.

She is survived by two sons, Nick Ripandelli and Tom Ripandelli, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Phyllis Smith, and two brothers, Joseph Forestano and Anthony Forestano, all of Brooklyn, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today with a 2 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Irene G. Sherry

Irene G. Sherry, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Sept. 6, 1934, in Jersey City, N.J. A resident for 30 years, she was a floor person in the gaming industry.

She is survived by one sister, Elinor Trakas of San Marcos, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Billy J. Smith

Billy J. Smith, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday. He was born May 24, 1934, in Elk City, Okla. A resident for eight years, he was a retired firefighter and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Smith of Nevada; one daughter, Michal Steele-Chacon of Albany, Ore.; one son, Steve Smith of Highland, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Joseph 'String' Stringfellow

Joseph "String" Stringfellow, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born June 9, 1935, in Pleasantville, N.J. A resident for 31 years, he was an environmental specialist for the county government, a retired Air Force first sergeant and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; two sons, Ronald Dale Stringfellow of Camp Mabry, Austin, Texas, and Terry Bernal Stringfellow of Las Vegas; one sister, Mabel Alcorn of San Bernardino, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Marie Dorothy Taylor

Marie Dorothy Taylor, 80, of Henderson died Friday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 27, 1923, in Green Bay, Wis. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired telephone operator in the aerospace industry.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Aaberg of Titusville, Fla., and Patricia Fiumani of Henderson; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Raymond Lee Tippit

Raymond Lee Tippit, 56, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 8, 1947, in Chicago. A resident for six years, he was a retired laborer and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his mother, Catherine Tippit of Henderson; three sisters, Rosemary Hippen of Mesa, Ariz., and Kathryn Betts and Marie Kelly, both of Henderson; and two brothers, Howard Tippit of Henderson and Robert Tippit of Seligman, Mo.

Graveside services will be 12:40 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Peter William Votsis Sr.

Peter William Votsis Sr., 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born May 8, 1920, in Wisconsin. A resident for 10 years, he was a brewery worker at Pabst and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marcy; two daughters, Debbie Votsis of Las Vegas and Diane Schiradelly of Wisconsin; one son, Peter Votsis Jr. of Wisconsin; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. A Greek Orthodox prayer service will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bunkers Chapel. Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Theodore C. Wachter

Theodore C. Wachter, 65, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 3, 1939, in Glendale, Calif. A resident for four years, he was a retired salesman of janitorial supplies.

He is survived by one son, Teddy M. Wachter of Anchorage, Alaska; and one daughter, Michelle Elizabeth Wachter of Europe.
