Ramadan to speak at Visioning meeting
Imam Mujahid Ramadan, a member of the North Las Vegas Visioning Committee, will be speaking at the Visioning 2025 Community meeting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Holy Trinity AME Church, 700 Lola Ave.
North Las Vegas encourages the community members to attend and participate in the process by bringing ideas and addressing concerns.
The Visioning 2025 process, will result in the creation of a 20-year strategic plan for North Las Vegas.
If people are unable to attend the meetings and would like to provide their input, send comments via email to Vision2025@ci.north-las-vegas. nv.us.

Benefit lunch set with 51s waiters
The Las Vegas 51s in conjunction with Carrabba's Italian Grill and Candlelighters for Childhood Cancer are hosting a "Tip a 51 Luncheon" at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Carrabba's, 8771 W. Charleston Blvd.
The lunch is $25 per person, which includes salad, bread, chicken Marsala, side of pasta, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages.
Each attendee will receive a free 51s baseball cap. Several players will be on hand to serve food and drinks that day. All gratuities received by the players as well as other proceeds from the event will benefit Candlelighters for Childhood Cancer. Call 386-7200.
The Las Vegas High School Class of 1979
is planning its 25-year reunion Oct. 8-9. The LVHS Class of 1978 and LVHS Class of 1980 also are invited to participate. Anyone interested in attending or with information about former classmates, call 210-4514 or 845-5555.
