Aspiring Eagle Scout needs help

An assistant Scout Master in Las Vegas writes that one of his troop members wants to be an Eagle Scout. A Scout for six years, the boy "quickly advanced through the ranks of Scouting to become a Life Scout," the leader writes.
The boy, who plans to attend the Community College of Southern Nevada in the fall, has already become a member of the Order of the Arrow honor society and is a member of the troop's varsity team, the Scout leader says.
Because of his family's limited income, the boy needs help to get to Boy Scout camp this year, his leader says. "The Las Vegas Sun summer camp fund would afford a boy the opportunity to go to summer camp that would otherwise not have the opportunity."
The camp fund funnels donations directly to scholarships for campers, and the Las Vegas Sun picks up all administrative costs. To contribute to the fund, use the coupon on this page.
Some recent donors:
Faye & Barry Bowles; Ronald & Marian Hill; Anthony D. Hunter; Nemorio & Marie Baltazar; Eldora Barthen; Sandler Capital Manaagement; M.G. Winsten; Maria Rabbio; Thomas L. Owens; Marsha & Robert Tarte; Dan & Susan Klein-Rothschild.
