District hosting Tai Chi sessions
Tai Chi Tuesdays will be taught from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Tuesday through September at the District at Green Valley Ranch.
No previous experience is necessary.
Classes take place in the grass area just south of the center sculpture.
It is recommended that participants wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

Shower of gifts set for Safe Nest
Nevada Public Radio is joining with Cox Communications to hold a collection drive to benefit the children at Safe Nest. They need everything from diapers, baby powder and baby bottles, to toothbrushes, clothes, backpacks and toys.
Nevada Public Radio KNPR 88.9 and Cox Communications will throw a baby shower Saturday to present the collected items to Safe Nest. Bring your new or gently used items to KNPR's broadcast center at 1289 S. Torrey Pines Drive or to any Cox communications office.
Court candidates can be questioned
The Charleston Neighborhood Preservation Association will host a question and answer session for Supreme Court candidates from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the West Sahara Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave.
Candidates are: Lori Brown, John Mason, Ron Parraguirre and Doug Smith.

The North Las Vegas Library,
2300 Civic Center Drive, is offering two computer classes in English. The first one is Introduction to MS Excel from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Computer Basics from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Call 633-1070.
