In Assembly District 18 primary, two Republicans will face off for the chance to battle Democratic incumbent Mark Manendo in the general election.
Republican Kris Munn, 30, is a planning manager for an engineering and development firm.
Munn said he is interested in taxes, health care, public safety, manufactured-home owners' rights and education. Munn's campaign Web site is electmunn.org.
The Texas A&M University architecture graduate, with a master's degree from the University of Phoenix, hopes to parlay his business experience to benefit the district's constituents.
Fellow Republican Drew Spangler, 43, is a member of the stage hands union. Spangler would not complete a questionnaire for this story, and attempts to interview him were unsuccessful.
Spangler's Web site is at [email protected].
