Back to school event set Friday
Clark County Parks and Community Services will host Back to School festivities from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Cambridge Recreation Center, 3930 Cambridge St.
Area businesses have donated backpacks, school supplies, food and entertainment. The event will also include a variety of health services, live music and children's activities. Seating, school supplies and give-a-ways are limited.
LilMaxSo, a young rapper, is the event's special guest performer. Admission is free. For performance times and general information, call 455-7169.
World of Women Expo is scheduled
The World of Women Expo, Celebrating the Women in Your Life, will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Stardust.
The event, which is open to the public, will target women of all ages, all income levels and interests for a day of education, exploration, wellness and pampering. Homemakers, decision-makers, moms, grandmothers, friends, sisters and their families are expected to attend the free event.
Also, the event will explore and celebrate all areas of women's health and wellness. Mammovan of Nevada for breast cancer screening and referrals and other health screenings will be available.
