Fred Benson

Fred Benson, 66, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 8, 1938, in Jacksonville, Texas. A resident for 52 years, he was a hotel cook.

He is survived by three sons, Freddie Benson Jr. of North Las Vegas, Fredrick J. Benson of Ely and Cedrick Benson of Las Vegas; his parents, Gracie and Clyde Simon of North Las Vegas; one brother, Lloyd Benson of California; two sisters, Roberta Simon and Shirlene Oscars, both of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Sunday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

Isabel Cardenas

Isabel Cardenas, 84, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 2, 1919, in Cardenas, Cuba. A resident for 31 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Mercedes Acosta, and one son, Carlos Guerra, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Inocente and Manola of Cuba; three grandchildren; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3:30 p.m. Sunday until a 9 a.m. service Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Carmela 'Millie' Corso

Carmela "Millie" Corso, 83, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 14, 1921, in New York City. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; three daughters, Carol Bongiardino and Patricia Colamaria, both of Las Vegas, and Frances Vazquez of Henderson; three sons, Frank Corso Jr. of Las Vegas and Louis Corso and Joe Corso, both of Henderson; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Joan Crosby

Joan Crosby, 57, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 7, 1947, in Collins, Miss. A resident for 14 years, she was a teacher for the Clark County School District and a member of the Phi Delta Kappa fraternity.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny E.; two sons, Ricky Crosby and Jovan Crosby, both of Las Vegas; her father, George W. Booth of Collins; one brother, George W. Booth Jr. of Jackson, Miss.; six sisters, Tabatha Booth of Jackson, Georgie Windham of New Orleans, Carolyn Elizabeth Magee, Mary Owens and Laura Washington, all of Collins, and Connie Hamilton of Gulfport, Miss.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-3 p.m. Monday in Progressive Pilgrims Fellowship, 5670 S. Pecos Ave. Services will be 4 p.m. Monday in Progressive Pilgrims Fellowship. Burial will follow in Collins, Miss. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Esther Grace DeGraff

Esther Grace DeGraff, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 12, 1917, in Utah. She was an executive secretary.

She is survived by one daughter, Janet Deaver of Pahrump; one son, John LeGraff of Missouri; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Steven L. Designori

Steven L. Designori, 49, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 7, 1955, in Modesto, Calif. A resident for 21 years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Yolanda; three sons, Ryan Olivetti, Aaron Olivetti and Sean Olivetti, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Shirley Designori, and one brother, Bradley Designori, both of Modesto; four sisters, Debra Designori and Jocelyn Designori, both of Modesto, Rena Gail Designori of Reno and Valerie Albe of Denver; and one grandchild.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Marianne Evensen

Marianne Evensen, 63, of North Las Vegas died July 27 Las Vegas. She was born July 24, 1941, in Maine. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Roy; two sons, Roy Martin Evensen and Dennis T. Evensen; two sisters, Shirley and Elizabeth; and four grandchildren.

Christel W. Kern

Christel W. Kern, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 30, 1933, in Dortmund Horde, Germany. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired vault teller in banking.

She is survived by one daughter, Sylvia Kern-Warriner of Las Vegas; one sister, Annegrete Eastman of Phoenix; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Jeanette Kravits

Jeanette Kravits, 72, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Sept. 22, 1931, in the Bronx, N.Y.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Kravits of Las Vegas.

Burial will be in Los Angeles. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Leonard J. Leland

Leonard J. Leland, 81, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 22, 1922, in Minnesota. A resident for one year, he was a sail maker for a yacht builder, a Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Leland-Wise of North Las Vegas and Christine A. Baehr of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; one brother, John Leland of Florida; two sisters, Emily Pearson and Caroline Murphy, both of Minnesota; and one grandchild.

John M. Little

John M. Little, 84, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born July 19, 1920, in Plainview, Ark. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired Navy chief petty officer and World War II and Korean War veteran.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Willie Earl Mayse

Willie Earl Mayse, 42, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 17, 1961, in Lake Providence, La. A resident for 33 years, he was a security officer.

He is survived by his mother, Louvenia Brown of North Las Vegas; four brothers, Curtis Lee Mayse, James Earl Brown and Roosevelt Brown III, all of Las Vegas, and Tony Lynn Mayse of North Las Vegas; and two sisters, Ruthie L. Mayse and Beatrice Mayse, both of North Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Sunday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Reginald M. 'Reggie' Mitchell

Reginald M. "Reggie" Mitchell, 51, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 8, 1952, in Steubenville, Ohio. A resident for 26 years, he was a measurement technician.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy; one son, Jason Mitchell, and one daughter, Tiffany Slater, both of Las Vegas; his father, Reginald A. Mitchell of Steubenville; one brother, Doug Mitchell of Detroit; one sister, Karen Cara of North Carolina; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

Christen Mareta 'Chrissy' Nelson

Christen Mareta "Chrissy" Nelson, 9, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born March 16, 1995, in Henderson.

She is survived by her parents, Ronni and Ryan Nelson, and one brother, Ryne Nelson, all of Henderson; and her grandparents, David and Margie Bartholomew of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Saturday in the LDS Ocean Street chapel, Henderson. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Cedar City Cemetery.

Quentin F. O'Neal

Quentin F. O'Neal, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 1, 1935, in St. Louis. A resident for 25 years, he was a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah; two daughters, Adrienne O'Neal and Rochelle Parker, and one son, Roderick O'Neal, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Betty O. Jeffries of Tucson; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. today in Living Faith Assembly Church, 4560 E. Charleston Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Pamela Marie Owings

Pamela Marie Owings, 66, of Las Vegas died Aug. 6 in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 2, 1928, in South Dakota. A resident for 44 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Lange of Las Vegas and Richard Lange of Grand Prairie, Texas; one daughter, Brenda Chanach of Ukiah, Calif.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Zelda Perlin

Zelda Perlin, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born May 14, 1925, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired advertising executive.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Nordgren of Las Vegas; three sons, Jack Perlin of Tucson, Dr. Barry Perlin of Las Vegas and Alan Perlin of San Diego; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services were scheduled at 1:30 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park.

Sherwood 'Woody' Radimaker

Sherwood "Woody" Radimaker, 57, of Las Vegas died Aug. 4 in Las Vegas. A floor manager in the gaming industry and a Vietnam Army veteran, he was born Nov. 18, 1946, in Flint, Mich.

She is survived by two daughters, Lea Radimaker and Shannon Terletter, both of Hesperia, Calif.; his mother, Helen Radimaker of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Terance Radimaker of Payson, Ariz., and David Radimaker of Redlands, Calif.

Graveside services will be 8:40 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Jaisun D. Turnbull

Jaisun D. Turnbull, 29, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 30, 1975, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was an electronics technician.

He is survived by his mother, Veronica Turnbull of Las Vegas; and his father, Lawrence Turnbull of Baton Rouge, La.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be noon Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Anne Walker

Anne Walker, 88, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Jan. 9, 1916, in Newark, N.J.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Gordon and Sharon Walker, both of Las Vegas; one son, Marv Walker of Los Angeles; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Sunday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
