Camp Fund would help high school girl

A local high school girl has been wheelchair-bound all of her life because of cerebral palsy. After two recent leg operations, she is learning how to walk. With help of her sister, she is able to function on her own, which is good, as their mother has lupus.
A friend wrote in to ask the Sun Camp Fund to pay for summer camp for the two sisters who have been through so much together. "Both are well-behaved girls and deserve the break, since they, at the ages of 13 and 14, help their mother a lot," the friend writes.
The Sun Camp Fund directs all donations directly to camp scholarships for those whose family could not otherwise send them. The Las Vegas Sun covers all administrative costs.
