The Federal Communications Commission has approved Las Vegas TV Partners' $18 million purchase of Las Vegas UPN network affiliate KTUD Channel 25.
Las Vegas TV Partners -- a media company that includes Greenspun Broadcasting LLC and New York-based Catalyst Investors LP -- announced in April its plans to buy the station from Four Seasons Broadcasting.
In a statement, the new ownership group indicated that it will focus on developing new programming. Station General Manager Julie Neil said changes could be announced "shortly."
Greenspun Broadcasting and the Las Vegas Sun are owned by the Greenspun family.
