NLV seeks input on future look
North Las Vegas is seeking input from the business and minority communities in identifying a vision for the city's future and creating a 20-year strategic plan for the area.
Two meetings will be held this month, where participants can express ideas and concerns about the city.
The first meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Latin Chamber of Commerce, 300 N. 13th St.
The second meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 19 at the North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, 2290 McDaniel Str.
Anyone unable to attend the meetings can provide their input by emailing Vision2025@ci.north-las-vegas.nv.us.

Airmen injured in base accident
Five airmen suffered minor injuries Wednesday afternoon at the Nevada Air National Guard base in Reno after the stand they were working on collapsed, a National Guard spokesman said.
The men, all from the Reno area, were treated at the Washoe Medical Center for cuts and scrapes on their heads, with one man suffering from a mild concussion, spokesman Erick Studenicka said. They were released Wednesday night.
The men were standing on a scaffolding-type stand while working on an aircraft Wednesday afternoon, when the stand collapsed and the men fell about 10 feet to the ground.
"All in all, it turned out to be fairly minor," Studenicka said.
Studenicka said investigators have not established the cause of the collapse.
