WEST GREENWICH, R.I. -- Lottery operator GTECH Holdings Corp., currently under investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission on alleged bribery charges in Brazil, said Monday a contract to run an online lottery in Mexico was reinstated.
GTECH will provide equipment, services and associated telecommunications to Pronosticos para la Asistencia Publica, which runs the lottery. The decision was made by the Mexican Comptroller Ministry, the Secretaria de la Funcion Publica, which declared the bid compliant.
The deal was originally announced in April, but later declared non-compliant because of protests filed by competitors.
