Spa treatments for cancer patients
Euphoria Salons and Day Spas, the Southern Nevada Area Health Education Center and Sierra Health Care's breast care program recently formed a partnership to provide free spa treatments to women currently underoing cancer treatment.
The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Euphoria Salon, 1381 W. Sunset Road, Henderson.
To qualify, female cancer patients must attain a physician's referral because most massage and spa treatments must be limited during certain phases of cancer treatment.
For more information or to enroll, call Sherial Bratcher at 318-8452, Ext. 235, and Linda Buckley of Sierra Health Care's breast program at 877-5253.
Residents will have
an opportunity to meet with Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday at Starbucks, 651 N. Rainbow Blvd. For more information, call 229-6582.
A Computer class
in Spanish will be offered at 2 p.m. Saturday at the North Las Vegas Library, 2300 Civic Center Drive. The class will be taught by Edgar Villafuerte, Las Vegas Educational Programs. Pre-registration is required. Call 633-1070.
