Schwarzenegger in Vegas today

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will be in Las Vegas today touting efforts to create jobs and revitalize the economy in that state.

An event -- scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at the Fashion Show Mall -- was originally scheduled for June 7 but was cancelled following the death of former President Reagan. Schwarzenegger's staff declined to give any further details on the event other than to describe it as "jobs related."

Nevada economic development officials have hailed the appearance as an affirmation of the effective job this state has done at attracting away jobs.
