Ruby T. Baker
Ruby T. Baker, 90, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Fallon. She was born Aug. 16, 1913, in Texas. A resident for 23 years, she was a secretary for Boeing, and also worked at the Showboat and Castaways in the bowling centers.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce; one son, Sidney Alden of Odessa, Texas; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Smith Family Funeral Home, 505 Rio Vista Drive, Fallon, is handling arrangements.
Colette Beckett
Colette Beckett, 42, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born May 26, 1962, in San Fernando, Calif. A resident for three years, she was a grocery store manager.
She is survived by her father, Patrick Beckett of Sylmar, Calif.; and two sisters, Cathie Bobson of Henderson and Michelle LeBlanc of Canyon Country, Calif.
Visitation is scheduled 2:30-4:30 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Louise P. Brown
Louise P. Brown, 57, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born May 15, 1947, in Columbus, Ga. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Perry Franklin of Las Vegas; three brothers, Carl Nelson of Chicago, Lawrence Nelson of Denver and Alphonzo Nelson of Springfield, Mo.; three sisters, Lillian Brown of Lawton, Okla., Constance Kemple of Virginia and Ava Brewster of Columbus, Ga.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. today in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Roderick Cordell Childers
Roderick Cordell Childers, 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 11, 1944, in Illinois.
He is survived by one son, Magnus Childers of Brazil.
Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Bette Pearl Craigie
Bette Pearl Craigie, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A resident for 18 years, she was born May 29, 1923, in Webster City, Wis.
She is survived by three sons, Scott of Reno, Stu of Las Vegas and Steve of Minneapolis; one daughter, Susan of Las Vegas; one brother, James Kist of Minneapolis; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Charles P. Daniels
Charles P. Daniels, 66, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born June 29, 1938, in Early, Fla. A resident for seven years, he was a retired Army first sergeant, Vietnam War veteran, a member of the 101st Airborne Division Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, 2nd Missile Batallion, 71st Artillery Association and National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; one daughter, Mary Jo Scotti of Whitehaven, Pa.; two sons, Charles P. Daniels Jr. and David W. Daniels, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Leroy W. Hartig
Leroy W. Hartig, 89, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 3, 1914, in Chicago. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired chief cadastral drafter for the Clark County Assessor's Office.
He is survived by one son, Gary Hartig of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be private. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
Virginia L. Lynn
Virginia L. Lynn, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 22, 1933, in California. A resident for 43 years, she was a retired custodian from Harley E. Harmon Elementary School for 20 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Lynn of Pahrump and Lori Mcconaughy of Santa Clarita, Calif.; four sons, Michael Lynn of Wichita, Kan., Robert Lynn of Henderson and Raymond Lynn and Joseph Lynn, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Darla and Mona, both of California; one brother, Richard of Arizona; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Sharon Mantel-Minor
Sharon Mantel-Minor, 48, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 18, 1956, in New York.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Minor; one son, Jeff Arazi of Fort Gordon, Ga.; one stepson, John Minor of Fort Hood, Texas; and one brother, Wayne Mantel of Las Vegas.
Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Phyllis Riggs Markgraf
Phyllis Riggs Markgraf, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 25, 1923, in Kanab, Utah. A resident for 54 years, she was a retired school teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Edward; one daughter, Becky Wright of Las Vegas; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Friday in Warm Springs Stake Center. Burial will be in Kanab.
Angelina Mizzoni
Angelina Mizzoni, 83, of Las Vegas died Thursday. A resident for 43 years, she was born June 20, 1921, in Ontario, Calif.
She is survived by her husband, Aldo; five sons, John Mizzoni, Louis Mizzoni, Raymond Mizzoni, Virginio Mizzoni and Mark Mizzoni; two daughters, Janet Negrete and Valerie Jewett; one brother, Joe Pasquino; one sister, Lilly DiDomenici; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Jeanne Anne Morse
Jeanne Anne Morse, 43, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 27, 1961, in Painesville, Ohio. A resident for three years, she was a financial consultant and accountant.
She is survived by three brothers, Thomas Devlin Morse of Arizona, Timothy James Morse and Terrence Michael Morse, both of Ohio; two sisters, Elizabeth Anne Morse of Ohio and Kathleen Jeanne Morse of Las Vegas.
No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Ohio. Valley Funeral Home, 3919 Raymert Drive, assisted with arrangements.
Harry H. Nance
Harry H. Nance, 68, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. A retired truck driver and a Navy veteran, he was born May 11, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, June; one daughter, Jill Nance of Henderson; and one grandchild.

George C. Parker Jr.
George C. Parker Jr., 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 20, 1930, in Chicago. A resident for 10 years, he was an Army veteran, a member of the Masons, Craig Ranch Golfers Association and Lawman Bowlers League.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; four sons, Bradley H., Errington M., George C. III and Lamaro A.; three daughters, Doryette A. Parker, Hazel A. Parker and Carmen A. Parker; two brothers, Earl Parker and Thomas B. Parker; one sister, Maudell Smith; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
A Chicago memorial service is pending. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Robert Duane Schmidt
Robert Duane Schmidt, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. He was born Oct. 19, 1931, in Los Angeles. A resident for 52 years, he was a casino host.
He is survived by Shannon Abney, Carol Curtis and family.

Bobbie Jean Smith
Bobbie Jean Smith, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 10, 1932, in Bogalusa, La. A resident for 40 years, she was an elementary school teacher and a charter member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority.
She is survived by one son, Eric R. Smith of Las Vegas; one half-brother, Ken Travillion, and one half-sister, Leah Travillion, both of Pascagoula, Miss.; and one granddaughter.

Louis J. Verrilli
Louis J. Verrilli, 93, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born July 21, 1911, in Columbus, Ohio. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired manager in the construction industry.
He is survived by four sons, Richard Verrilli of Martinez, Calif., Donald Verrilli of Santa Clarita, Calif., Michael Verrilli of Grove, Okla., and Albert Verrilli of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Betty June Whittaker
Betty June Whittaker, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born June 4, 1934, in Atlanta. A resident for 3 1/2 years, she was a retired bookkeeper.
She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Marable of Las Vegas; one son, Dwayne Whittaker of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one sister, Myrtice McAfee of Cleveland; five grandchildren; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 5 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Betty A. Zapatka, 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Aug. 17, 1929, in Chicago.
She is survived by her husband, Edward L.; and one daughter, Elise A. Dale of Santa Barbara, Calif.
Services will be 4 p.m. Friday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.
