Letter: Bush’s results are horrendous
Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004 | 9:08 a.m.
I fully support President Bush's new campaign slogan, "Results Count." Let's take a quick look at some of those results.
As a result of Bush's financial bungling, a $200 billion budget surplus has become a budget deficit projected at over $500 billion.
More than 900 U.S. troops have died and thousands more have been injured in a war started on the basis of Bush administration lies.
More than 1.8 million Americans, almost equal to the total population of Nevada, have lost jobs under Bush's leadership.
Under Bush, the Environmental Protection Agency, which used to actually work to protect the environment, has announced that it will begin approving the use of pesticides without consulting wildlife experts.
Results count! What a great slogan.
