Mary R. Aguilar

Mary R. Aguilar, 81, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. A homemaker, she was born Dec. 28, 1922, in Henderson.

She is survived by two sons, Carlos Aguilar Jr. of Henderson and Gilbert Aguilar of California; five daughters, Marta Aguilar and Beatrice Garcia, both of Henderson, Nellie Aguilar and Mercedes "Candy," both of California, and Sara Aguilar; three brothers, Manuel Rivera, Juan Rivera and Nabor Rivera Jr.; four sisters, Antornia Calvillo, Agaclito Mendoza and Lupe Rivera, all of California, and Lucy Motoya of Henderson; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 8:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Friday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Susann Kosiba Albrecht

Susann Kosiba Albrecht, 64, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 1, 1939, in Cleveland. A resident for 35 years, she retired as a registered nurse from Sunrise Hospital.

She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Pietrafeso and Donna Messenger, both of Las Vegas; three sons, John Albrecht of Oakland, Calif., and Ken Albrecht Jr. and Mike Albrecht, both of Las Vegas; one brother, John Kosiba of Parma, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Joseph Beneda

Joseph Beneda, 55, of Boulder City died Monday in Las Vegas. A Sprint switchman, he was born Jan. 8, 1949, in Riverton, Wyo.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; four daughters, Jodi Kermode, LuAnn Beneda, Crystal Unfried and Brandi Unfried; his mother, Nellie Mae Beneda; and three brothers, Earl Beneda, Jim Beneda and Bob Beneda.

Sandra Lee Benedict

Sandra Lee Benedict, 58, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 5, 1945, in Chicago. A resident for 17 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell; one daughter, Michelle Messmore, and one son, Kelly Howe, both of Reno.

Stephen Michael Clawson

Stephen Michael Clawson, 52, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born May 1, 1951, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 10 years, he was a Metro Hyundai automobile repair shop foreman.

He is survived by his companion, Diane Kropog of Henderson; two stepdaughters, Lisa Schwabe of Henderson and Rachel Morris of Las Vegas; his mother, Dolores Clawson of Findlay, Ohio; his father, John J. Clawson, and one brother, David Clawson, both of Crosby, Texas; one sister, Sherri Davidson of Carey, Ohio; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Eleanor A. Deidrick

Eleanor A. Deidrick, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born March 6, 1924, in Lorain, Ohio. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra L. Deidrick of Las Vegas and Donna R. Lawrason of Rochester Hills, Mich.; one son, Gary R. Deidrick of Amherst, Ohio; one sister, Mildred Lukenic of Elyria, Ohio; and six grandchildren.

Germain R. Houle

Germain R. Houle, 92, of North Las Vegas died April 22 in Leesburg, Fla. He was born in Franklin, Mass. A resident for 48 years, he graduated from the University of Montreal with a degree in veterinary medicine. He reactivated the North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and served as its director and president. He served on the Planning and Zoning Board and later was city councilman. He was appointed to the Veterinary Medical Advisory Committee for the state of Nevada and was the first doctor to serve on the Nevada State Board of Health.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert; and two sisters, Evelyn Wigglesworth and Jeannette Hebert.

He is survived by three sons, Jeffrey of Jamestown, N.J., Arthur of Tallahassee, Fla., and Alec of Abbington, Mass.; one daughter, Michelle Remby of Cummington, Mass.; three sisters, Gertrude Remby of Milford, Mass., and Edna Gagner and Alice Stevenson, both of Leesburg, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Friday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Orville R. Koerwitz

Orville R. Koerwitz, 77, of Las Vegas died April 18 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 19, 1926, in Deshler, N.C. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired steam fitter and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; three sons, Karl Koerwitz of Mexico City, Kacey Koerwitz of Las Vegas and Kurt Koerwitz of Indianapolis; two daughters, Kerrie Aqui of Las Vegas and Kristian Koplinski of Chicago; one brother, Bill Koerwitz of Las Vegas; two sisters, Ruth Rodenburg of Lincoln, Neb., and Marion Beyer of Crete, Neb.; and two grandsons.

Malcolm D. Little

Malcolm D. Little, 80, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 1, 1923, in Glen Campbell, Pa. A resident for 44 years, he was a retired steel mill boiler maker and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Fern Nixon of Ridgecrest, Calif.; and two brothers, Gordie Little of Henderson and Dawn Little of California.

John F. Nolan

John F. Nolan, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born May 24, 1925, in New York City. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired expeditor in the aerospace industry and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, John C. Nolan of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; one daughter, Maryann Cercoli of Bethpage, N.Y.; one sister, Theresa Carroll of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Janice Kay 'Peachie' Pruett

Janice Kay "Peachie" Pruett, 58, of Henderson died Jan. 5 in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 22, 1945, in Port Arthur, Texas. A resident for three years, she was a restaurant manager.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Pruett.

She is survived by two brothers, Clarence "Red" Pruett of Burkeville, Texas, and Bill Pruett of Chicago; and one sister, Pam Green of Henderson.

Renee A. Riggins, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 19, 1925, in Belgium. A resident for 50 years, she was a retired casino bookkeeper.

She is survived by one brother, Henri Dumont of Belgium.

William L. Riley

William L. Riley, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 12, 1929, in Chicago. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired machine tool salesman and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by three sons, Mark W. Riley of Las Vegas, Richard W. Riley of Huntington Beach, Calif., and John W. Riley of Perris, Calif.; and one daughter, Marilyn Riley-Mearns of Panama City, Fla.

Joan Yvonne Seamster, 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 28, 1938, in Seattle. A resident for 10 years, she was a cook.

She is survived by seven daughters, Debra McWhorter, Diana Deets, Donna Gray, Davi Burke, DyLynn Lackinger, Dru Seamster and Durena Seamster.

Norma Ida Silva, 76, of Las Vegas died April 24 in a local care center. She was born May 4, 1927, in Oakland, Calif. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired banquet waitress at Bally's for 13 years.

She is survived by one daughter, Jean Kirkland of Maui, Hawaii; one son, Raymond Pereira of Placerville, Calif.; one brother, Ronald King of Florida; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Donald K. Willhite

Donald K. Willhite, 87, of Las Vegas died March 7 in Las Vegas. He was born March 26, 1917, in Macon, Mo. A resident for 30 years, he was a foreman for Firestone Tire and was an Army veteran who served in the 695th Air Material Squadron.

He is survived by his wife, Marijane Willhite of Las Vegas; one daughter, JoAnn Willhite of Long Beach, Calif.; one son, Steven Willhite of Downey, Calif.; one stepson, David Phillips of Roanoke, Texas; one sister, Leola Murray of Reseda, Calif.; and three step-grandchildren.

MaryAnn Wright, 65, of Las Vegas died April 18 in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 18, 1938, in Iowa. A resident for 30 years, she was a cashier.

She is survived by her companion, John Duarte; three brothers, Dennis Wymore, Richard Wymore and Terry Wymore; and three sisters, Barbara, Diane and Janice.
