Brenda Caplan
Brenda Caplan, 59, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 13, 1944, in Philadelphia. A resident for 37 years, she was a counselor, a member of the Junior League and the sisterhood of Temple Beth Sholom.
She is survived by her husband, Myron; one daughter, Dara Marias, and her mother, Ida Derringer, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Glenn Derringer of Cincinnati; and two grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 3 p.m. today in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Joseph L. Donovan
Joseph L. Donovan, 63, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 16, 1941, in Worcester, Mass. A resident for 27 years, he retired as a comptroller for Las Vegas Paving Corp. after 15 years, was employed at Superior Tire and was a veteran of the National Guard.
He is survived by one daughter, Kristen Hollis of Reno; one son, Michael Donovan of Las Vegas; two brothers, Larry Donovan and Philip Donovan, both of Oxford, Mass.; and two grandchildren.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Johnny Katrelle Jones
Johnny Katrelle Jones, 16, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 25, 1987, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his father, Johnny L. Jones of North Las Vegas; his mother, Deborah White, and his stepfather, Ron White, both of Las Vegas; his stepmother, Adrianna Ransey of North Las Vegas; and three sisters, Trica Jones, Marshea Jones and Jada Jones, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 316 Madison Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Morton Livenston
Morton Livenston, 90, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 19, 1914, in New York City. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired real estate broker.
He is survived by his wife, Elinore; three daughters, Joan Anthony and Audrey Knowlton, both of Las Vegas, and Cynthia Friend of Houston; one sister, Roslyn Ross of Houston; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at 9 a.m. today in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

Frank Joseph Masterana Jr.
Frank Joseph Masterana Jr., 38, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 18, 1965, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his parents, Stella and Frank Masterana Sr. of Dominican Republic; and one stepsister, Becky Kline of Canton, Ohio.

Robert J. May
Robert J. May, 62, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. He was born Sept. 25, 1941, in Faulkton, S.D. A resident for 16 years, he was a high-rise iron worker, a Vietnam War Army veteran, a member of the Ironworkers Union and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by two daughters, Julie Arends of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Kelly Moothart of Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Patricia Vleck of Rapid City, S.D., Jeanie Muehl of Garden Grove, Calif., and Geri Duval of St. Paul, Minn.; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. May 24 in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Priscilla McGregor
Priscilla McGregor, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 16, 1920, in North Dakota. A resident for 29 years, she was a retired retail sales clerk and a member of the American Legion auxiliary.
She is survived by three sons, Donald McGregor of Fargo, N.D., Robert McGregor of Colville, Wash., and Kim McGregor of Riverdale, N.D.; one daughter, Cathy Duckwitz of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her companion, Norman Dallis of Las Vegas; one sister, Valborg Hoff of Bismarck, N.D.; six brothers, Edmund Storhoff, Edgar Storhoff and Gerhard Storhoff, all of North Dakota, Charles Storhoff of Kent, Wash., Howard Storhoff of Seattle and Richard Storhoff of Moorhead, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Christ Lutheran Church, 111 N. Torrey Pines Drive. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Leonard Mitchell
Leonard Mitchell, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. A retired maintenance supervisor, he was born Nov. 30, 1921, in Denver.
He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer L. Stark of Las Vegas.

Herbie C. Ott
Herbie C. Ott, 69, of Boulder City died Sunday in Boulder City. He was born July 9, 1934, in Ohio. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired firefighter and Navy veteran.
He is survived by one son, Tracy Ott of Boulder City; one brother, Larry Ott; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Troy W. Payton
Troy W. Payton, 32, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 11, 1971, in San Luis Obispo, Calif. A resident for 15 years, he was a welder, an Army veteran and a member of Iron Workers Local 433.
He is survived by his wife, Tonya; one daughter, Savannah Selana Payton, two stepdaughters, Heather Brand and Deziree Douglas, and one stepson, Eric Walters, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Peggy D. Jorgensen of Dayton; her stepfather, Jack DeFehr of Fairfield, Calif.; and one sister, Selana E. Williams of Florence, S.C.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be noon Thursday in Palm Chapel, Main.
Irma Perata
Irma Perata, 86, of Las Vegas died April 15 in Las Vegas. A store owner, she was born Jan. 14, 1918, in California.
She is survived by one niece, Kathleen Desmond of Oakland, Calif.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Oakland, Calif. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Lonnie Pittman
Lonnie Pittman, 84, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. He was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Columbia, Miss. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired laborer.
He is survived by two sons, Lonnie Pittman Jr. of Las Vegas and Donald Pittman of Atlanta; one daughter, Dora Williams of North Las Vegas; three sisters, Mattie Pittman and Lounelle Pittman, both of New Orleans, and Bertha Clark of Oakland, Calif.; two brothers, John Pittman of Columbia, Miss., and Dawson Pittman of Columbia; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Anthony Polizzi, 41, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 29, 1963, in Passaic, N.J. A resident for 18 years, he was an automobile technician.
He is survived by his wife, Paula A.; one daughter, Danielle Grace Polizzi, Anthony Jacob Polizzi and Eric Allen Polizzi, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Barbara Houlden of Montrose, Pa.; two brothers, Robert P. Legory of Las Vegas and Salvatore P. Gentile of Wantage, N.J.; and three sisters, Debra Legory of Wantage, Lorraine Polizzi of Montrose, Pa., and Linda Polizzi-Varga of New Richmond, Wis.

Edward John Potignano, 51, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 24, 1953, in New Jersey. A resident for 17 years, he was a clerk in the food industry.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; one daughter, Kathy Phillips; and his mother, Margaret.

Dorothy Van Meeter
Dorothy Van Meeter, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 23, 1932, in Illinois. A resident for four years, she was a retired housekeeper at a retirement home.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis; one son, Michael Carrillo; one daughter, Denise Carrillo; three sisters, Margie Kras, Lillian Ross and Betty Bradovich; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 3-4 p.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Miriam Wess
Miriam Wess, 93, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Nov. 11, 1910, in London. A resident for 37 years, she was a retired dress shop manager.
She is survived by one son, Mervin Harman of Los Angeles; and two sisters, Goldie Heller of Las Vegas and Minnie Sampson of Romford, Essex, England.
Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Thursday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Rosie L. Yetter
Rosie L. Yetter, 38, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. She was born March 10, 1966, in Louisiana. A lifelong resident, she was a homemaker and an Army veteran.
She is survived by one daughter, La' Kiyawna; her parents, Lee and Mary Ann Dean; three brothers, Lee Jr., VaJon and Brandon; and four sisters, Renee, Valerie, Charkita and Nyeela.
Visitation is scheduled 3-5 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1:20 p.m. Saturday in New Light Church, 1165 Lori Ave.
