Lawrence George Bartleson

Lawrence George Bartleson, 82, of Las Vegas died April 12 in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 29, 1921, in Susquehanna, Pa. A resident for 24 years, he was a real estate salesman and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Judy Duncan of Roseberg, Ore.; one son, Robert Bartleson of Greenville, S.C.; one sister, Eloise Strothers of Laredo, Texas; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Cynamon L. Gilmore-Christensen

Cynamon L. Gilmore-Christensen, 30, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born July 8, 1973, in Nevada. A resident for nine months, she was a sales representative for an alarm company.

She is survived by one son, Sylvan Patrick Christensen; one daughter, Savana D. Christensen; her mother and stepfather, Debbie Gilmore-Howell and Ken Howell; her father, K.C. Limb; two sisters, Karmel Gilmore-Howell and Jimmy Lee Gilmore-Howell.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by graveside services at 1 p.m. today in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Lou Ellen Edmonson Fort

Lou Ellen Edmonson Fort, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 8, 1933, in Burbank, Calif. A resident for many years, she was a receptionist at Battista's Hole in the Wall.

She is survived by four daughters, Sue Wilson, Debra Lamek, Linda Cowan and Stephanee Cordero, all of Las Vegas.

Private services will be arranged by Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Robert Louis Harbach

Robert Louis Harbach, 64, of Las Vegas died March 11 in Miami. He was born Oct. 16, 1939, in Carroll, Iowa. A resident for 28 years, he chaired the Department of Rehabilitation Psychology and worked in the Department of Counseling and Education Psychology at UNLV, worked for the state in Iowa, taught at the University of Georgia at Athens, was a Marine Corps veteran and earned his master's and doctorate degrees from the University of Wisconsin.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene; his mother, Mildred of Manning, Iowa; six children; and 12 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday at UNLV's Artemus Ham Hall. Ohde Funeral Home, Manning, Iowa, is handling arrangements.

Gloria Hope Kerrigan

Gloria Hope Kerrigan, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born July 28, 1929, in Pittsburgh. A resident for nine years, she was a retired teacher.

She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Knuth of North Las Vegas; three sons, J. Kevin Kerrigan of Hubertus, Wis., Alan Kerrigan of Las Vegas and Timothy Kerrigan of Ottumwa, Iowa; one sister, Lesia Andrews of McKees Rocks, Pa.; and five grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association Research Foundation, 1660 Duke St., Alexandria, VA 22314.

Norma Jo Metz

Norma Jo Metz, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 2, 1935, in Evansville, Ind. A resident for 13 years, she was a beauty parlor manager and stylist.

She is survived by two daughters, Shawn S. Hvegholm of Henderson and Shannon Long of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

James Christ Oehler

James Christ Oehler, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 10, 1927, in Sheboygan, Wis. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired Navy lieutenant commander and a Korean War and Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Opal Oehler of Las Vegas.

Kay Roberts

Kay Roberts, 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 7, 1935, in Olympia, Wash. A resident for 41 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

She is survived by one son, Kurtz Roberts, and one sister, Marilyn Barbour, both of Las Vegas; and one brother, Barry Barbour of Sacramento.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow at noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Catherine Ida Roy

Catherine Ida Roy, 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 24, 1948, in New York. A resident for 12 years, she was a retail manager.

She is survived by three sons, Steven, Gary and Daniel.

Gladys Virginia Timms Sedgwick

Gladys Virginia Timms Sedgwick, 68, of Henderson died Thursday. She was born May 12, 1935, in Panama, Canal Zone. She was one of the first female craps dealers at the Flamingo Hilton in the 1970s and then a real estate agent with Century 21 Aadvantage.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony; five children, Richard, Robert, Chere, Vincent and Damon; two sisters, Alice Moore and Mary Jane Worsham; and eight grandchildren.

A private family gathering will be held at the Sedgwick residence. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Colleen Angela Spencer

Colleen Angela Spencer, 47, of Las Vegas died April 18 in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 9, 1956, in California. A resident for eight years, she was a nurse.

She is survived by her husband, William; two sons, Kyle and Taylor; one daughter, Jenny; her mother, Trudy; and three brothers, John, Charlie and Chris.

Lena Suter

Lena Suter, 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 19, 1930, in Foraker, Okla. A resident for six months, she was a retired sales clerk.

She is survived by her husband, James; one daughter, Suzan Rasmussen of Las Vegas; two sons, Edward Suter of Las Vegas and David Suter of El Cajon, Calif.; three sisters, Virginia Baumeister and Muriel Henning, both of Michigan, and Ruth Hensley of South Carolina; one brother, James Eidson of California; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Bernard Henry Verheyen

Bernard Henry Verheyen, 78, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 1, 1925, in Lomita, Ga. A resident for 40 years, he was a security officer for Wackenhut Services at the Nevada Test Site and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Clora; two sons, Steven Verheyen and Craig Verheyen; one sister, Connie Carpenter; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.

Carroll Harrison Ward

Carroll Harrison Ward, 62, of Henderson died April 14 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 27, 1941, in Haynesville, La. A resident for many years, he was a mud logger in the oil industry.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; and five sons, Michael Shane Ward, Richard Trey Ward, David Christopher Ward and Michael Lance, all of Texas, and Jack Clark of Colorado.

Visitation is scheduled 9-10:45 a.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow at noon Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Michael E. Watts

Michael E. Watts, 52, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 18, 1951, in Sterling, Colo. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired Las Vegas firefighter and a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; two sons, Jason Watts and Micah Watts, both of Grand Junction, Colo.; two daughters, Shauna Barrett of Grand Junction and Tammy Buchanan of Dallas; his parents, Dean and Gen Watts of Austin, Texas; one sister, Linda Weil of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Shadow Hills Baptist Church, 7811 Vegas Drive., Las Vegas, NV 89128.
