SUN WIRE REPORTS
The Washington Redskins agreed to terms with veteran linebacker Mike Barrow, who was released by the National Football Conference East-rival New York Giants last month after he refused to restructure his contract.
Barrow, an 11-year veteran, had a career-high 177 tackles for the Giants last season, leading the team for the third consecutive year. He also had two sacks and three forced fumbles.
A 6-foot-2, 245-pounder, Barrow probably will be the Redskins' starting middle linebacker next season. He's recorded more than 100 tackles in seven of the past eight seasons.
Barrow is the second former Giant added by the Redskins this offseason, joining defensive tackle Cornelius Griffin.
