Family health fair
A family health fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the West Las Vegas Arts Center Ampitheatre, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd. Services provided include immunizations for children, mammogram scheduling and blood pressure and HIV testing. Admission is free. 229-4800.
Barn dance
The Southern Nevada Old Time Contra Dancers will co-host an "Old Time Barn Dance" at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St. Tickets are $6 adults, $5 members, $3 students/active military, free children under 15. 229-6383.
Book signing
Author Dr. Penelope Tzougros will sign copies of her book, "Wealthy Choices," at 7 p.m. Thursday at Barnes & Noble, 8915 W. Charleston Blvd. Admission is free. 242-1987.
Weight loss workshop

'El Dia de los Ninos'
The sixth annual "El Dia de los Ninos," also known as International Children's Day Family Festival, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Clark County Government Center Ampitheater, 500 Grand Central Parkway. Admission is free. 455-8200.
Film festival
UNLV's Short Film Archive will host a screening of award-winning films at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in UNLV's Architecture Building. Admission is free. 895-3547.
Dinner dance
Silvestri Junior High School, 1055 Silverado Ranch Blvd., will host an "Old-Fashioned Community Dinner and Dance" at 5:30 p.m. Thursday to raise money for the Just Keep Thinking Safety: Josh Parry, Kyle Poff, Travis Dunning Memorial Foundation. Tickets are $10. 799-2240, ext. 4302.
Puppet group

The 1942 movie, "Now, Voyager," will be shown at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S.
