A 28-year-old Las Vegas man was arrested Tuesday on 11 counts of child pornography possession after Metro Police found he had swapped illegal images with others via the Internet.
Jared Bray had posted bail and was released Wednesday from the Clark County Detention Center pending a court hearing.
Metro Police Sgt. Russell Shoemaker of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force said an investigator in Wyoming who was working on a child pornography probe discovered Bray was involved in trading files containing child porn.
According to the arrest report, the children in the images were brother and sister under the age of 16 and they were being subjected to abuse in the images in which they appeared.
A British man was convicted of producing the pornography and is serving a prison term in London, the report says.
Metro Police searched Bray's home near Interstate 15 and St. Rose Parkway in January. Bray told police he has used his computer to download pornography but that there should not be any child porn on his computer, the arrest report says.
According to police, a search of Bray's computer yielded 16 pictures and four video clips that were identified as possible child pornography. Police said it was sufficient to charge Bray with nine photos and two video clips.
A warrant was issued March 31 for Bray's arrest and he was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon.
