The Clark County Department of Aviation has agreed to a 50-year lease on 450 acres along Las Vegas' Southern I-215 Beltway near Rainbow Boulevard for the construction of a commercial, retail and industrial development.
EJM Development of Los Angeles plans to build a 4.5 million-square-foot project over the next 10 years on the property, said Kirk Boylston, head of EJM's Las Vegas operations.
The first phase -- a $10 million, 310,000-square-foot industrial project -- is expected to break ground in May. The first tenants could move in in January 2005.
Construction on the retail and office phase of the project is expected in early 2005.
