Computer classes offered
North Las Vegas Library and Community Colleges of Southern Nevada Continuing Education are offering computer classes in English at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the North Las Vegas Library, 2300 Civic Center Drive, North Las Vegas.
All classes are free.

Ceremony to honor volunteers
A Community Enrichment Awards Luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Stardust.
The awards ceremony is to recognize and honor five categories of volunteers: education, group, individual, senior and youth. Three finalists in each category have been selected by a panel of community leaders, and the winners will be announced at the celebration luncheon.

School to mark 50th anniversary
Howard Wasden Elementary School will celebrate its 50th anniversary from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday on the school's campus, 2831 Palomino Lane.
All school alumni, neighbors, teachers, students and their families are invited to participate in the event.
The event will offer entertainment, student performances, dancing, classic cars, classic outdoor games, a multimedia presentation of Life in the 50s, student reunions and teacher reunions, and a display of photographs and yearbooks will also be available to view.

Youth Rally set
In honor of National Day of Prayer, the eighth annual Youth Rally will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Park, 2601 E. Sunset Road.
There will be singing, mimes, rapp, dancing, food, drinks, ice cream, drama and bands.
