Poets' corner
Keith Brantley and Pendelita Toney will host a poets' corner at 7:30 p.m. tonight at West Las Vegas Arts Center, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd. Admission is free. 229-4800.
'Life is Beautiful'
Roberto Benigni's Oscar-winning film "Life is Beautiful" will be screened at 7 p.m. Tuesday as part of the city's "The Family of Man" series. Tickets are $3. 229-6383.
Lecture
Corey Dolgon's lecture, "Folksongs and the US Labor Movement: A Commonwealth of Toil," will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at UNLV's Barrick Museum Auditorium. Admission is free. 895-3401.
Documentary

The Clark County Children's Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Admission is free, and activities include music, dance, storytellers and hands-on arts and crafts workshops. 455-7340.
