Letter: Kerry lacks spine to be president
Thursday, April 15, 2004 | 8:33 a.m.
Sen. John Kerry strikes again! He sets forth his own Misery Index and expects the American public to just accept his stand on our president as his own! Never mind that our economy is soaring, that the employment picture is bright, that our president's efforts in Iraq are effective and that wages are higher than before.
To hear Kerry tell us that things are bad, dire and downright hopeless is but a preview of what to expect if he is elected president.
Kerry chose to run for president yet shows no understanding of what the job requires. Maybe someone should tell this man what the job requires -- strength, honesty, dedication, fortitude, loyalty and above all, the ability to look out for and protect the American citizenry.
The job does not involve flip-flopping, outright untruths, looking out only for one's own self, lack of backbone, spineless griping or self-aggrandizement. Neither does the job entail phony studies and self-serving statistics.
