Letter: Finger-pointing merely helps our enemies
Wednesday, April 14, 2004 | 8:29 a.m.
When the President initiated the Patriot Act following 9-11 (giving law enforcement much-needed tools to stop any further attacks), the cry from the liberals and Bush-haters was "our rights to privacy are being trampled."
When the president attacks the terrorists with a no-holds military operation, the liberals and Bush-haters bellyache and whine about another "quagmire Vietnam War."
Now the liberals and Bush-haters point their fingers and gnash their teeth because the president didn't somehow avert the 9-11 tragedy.
This constant complaining and finger-pointing at our leaders is doing more harm to our nation than any terrorist group could ever dream of accomplishing. The thing lacking in all of this criticism of our leaders is wisdom and solutions. It's one thing to question the policies of our leaders, it's quite another thing to become a propaganda tool in the hands of our enemies.
