Short film festival
UNLV's Short Film Archive will host a festival of award-winning short films at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Sogg architecture building on the UNLV campus. Admission is free. 895-3547.

Lecture
Phoenix resident Beth Harmon-Vaughan will speak on architecture at 7 p.m. Monday at UNLV's Paul B. Sogg architecture building as part of the "Klai Juba" architecture lecture series. Admission is free. 895-1575.
Lecture
City College of New York professor Michael Sorkin will speak on post-9-11 New York in a lecture titled, "Urban Architecture: The City After Now," at 7:30 p.m. Monday at UNLV's Barrick Museum Auditorium. Admission is free. 895-3401.
Movies
The 1948 movie, "Sorry, Wrong Number," will be shown at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, as part of Clark County Parks and Recreation Services' "Wonder Women" film series. The first screening will be close-captioned for the hearing impaired. Admission is $3. 455-7340.
Acting classes
