Letter: Kerry’s drug plan is clearly better
Thursday, April 8, 2004 | 9:01 a.m.
It's been said that if people hear negative advertising long enough, they will believe it's true.
John Kerry isn't going to lead this country into deficits. In fact, he wants to get us out of deficit spending.
John Kerry isn't going to ram nuclear waste down our throats and lie to us that his decision will be based on sound science and then send the hounds down upon us to push this through no matter what.
The truth about the newly signed Medicare Prescription Health Care plan proposed and signed into law by President Bush will make your hair stand on end. I know, because I read the pure unadulterated plan that will go into effect in 2006.
John Kerry has proposed a plan based on the one civil service workers enjoy and it's wonderful. As the wife of a retired civil service employee, I can get $49 prescriptions for $10. But when I reach retirement and am forced to go on the Bush plan, I will never be able to meet the deductibles and will have to pay the regular price forever and ever! Low-cost health cards will then be only for those on the lowest income scale.
No wonder many seniors see red and support John Kerry for President. Don't let those ads out there fool you because if it seems too good to be true, it usually is.
