Henderson Mayor James Gibson will attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The majority of The District's 40 shops and restaurants will be open for business following the ceremony.
The District, adjacent to the Green Valley Ranch Station Casino, is a 400,000-square-foot, $80 million project developed by American Nevada Company. In addition to retail space, The District also includes office and residential components.
American Nevada is owned by the Greenspun family, owner of the Las Vegas Sun.
