Letter: Higher standard for city attorney
Monday, April 5, 2004 | 9:25 a.m.
Boulder City Attorney David Olsen claims to hold himself to a "higher standard" and wants us to know he takes his drunk driving arrest "seriously." He failed, however, to take full responsibility when he pleaded no contest instead of guilty.
His sentence of six days in jail (served two days at a time) hardly seems adequate for a person holding public office. If he wants to truly persuade us that he is serious, let him resign his position, surrender his license and perform community service for MADD.
