Arts festival
The Clark County Museum presents its 15th Invitational Native Americans Arts Festival from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today through Sunday at 1830 S. Boulder Highway. Admission is $3 adults, $2 seniors and children, and activities include artist demonstrations, craft market, dance and music performances, storytelling and food booths. 455-7955.
Movies
The 1942 movie, "Woman of the Year," will be shown at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, as part of Clark County Parks and Recreation Services' "Wonder Women" film series. The first screening will be close-captioned for the hearing impaired. Admission is $3. 455-7340.
'Jurassic Park'
The movie "Jurassic Park" will be shown at 4 p.m. Thursday at the East Las Vegas Community/Senior Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave. Admission is free. 229-1515.
Short films
The City of Las Vegas Cultural Affairs Division presents "In Black and White: Three Women Writers," three short films about authors Toni Morrison, Gloria Naylor and Alice Walker, at 3 p.m. Saturday at the West Las Vegas Arts Center, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd., as part of its "African-American Perspectives on Film" series. Admission is free. 229-4800.
Cather reading
Eva Marie Saint and her husband, Jeffrey Hayden, will read from the works of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Willa Cather at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St. Admission is $12 at the door, $10 in advance. 229-6383.
Acting classes
Clark County Parks & Community Services is offering free acting classes from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. every Wednesday at Whitney Center, 5712 E. Missouri Ave. Pre-registration is requested. 455-7576.

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District offers the following book discussion groups at area libraries this week:
