Some of Christensen’s expenses

The secretary of state is investigating Republican Assemblyman Chad Christensen's use of campaign funds. Christensen submitted a detailed report last week. Here are some of the expenses he reimbursed himself for out of campaign funds:

"I'm more of the Walgreens corner store guy," he said.

For example, on Aug. 16, Christensen paid for computer equipment at Ultimate Electronics that totaled $1,718. Two days later, he bought more office equipment at Fry's Electronics for $1,000.

"We try to run a lean, mean machine, but again, as a business guy, you put your money in what you want to grow," he said.
