Kids to bring pets for contest
The 11th annual Pet Day will be held from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Warren-Walker Lower School, 2150 Windmill Parkway, Henderson.
Children will bring their pets from home, (with assistance from their parents) which range from full-grown horses, cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and hamsters, to snakes and goldfish.
Ribbons are awarded to all, and judges are comprised of specialty teachers, administrators, and community veterinarians, with categories ranging from prettiest coat to best decorated cage as well as other categories such as most well-behaved.

Museum to host Indian festival
The Clark County Museum will present its 15th Invitational Native American Arts Festival from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday at the museum, 1830 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
The festival will include Indian artist demonstrations, a craft market featuring more than 50 invited artists, dance and music performances, storytelling sessions, videos, Native American foods, a children's "Make-and-Take" art area, and a special Indian basket exhibit, "Celebration of Basketweaving."
Admission is $3; $2 for seniors and children.
Shadow Hills Baptist Church
will present "Which Side of the Cross" at 7 p.m. Wednesday through April 9 at the church, 7811 W. Vegas Drive. The show is free and tickets are not needed. Call 880-7811.
Marco's Hair Salon,
2560 Belcastro St., will hold a silent auction at 1 p.m. Saturday to raise money for the Animal Shelter. Some items up for bid are a European facial, two three-month passes to Gold's Gym, dog grooming services, six Lord of the Dance tickets, two dinners and two lunches at Romy's Restaurant, massages and riding lessons at High Point Farm. Acting classes
are being offered by Clark County Parks and Community Services from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. every Wednesday at Whitney Center, 5712 E. Missouri Ave. Pre-registration is requested by phone or in person. Call 455-7576 for additional information.
